About me and my therapy practice
I support clients navigating life's challenges, from daily stress and anxiety to deeper emotional wounds. Many seek help when feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, or mounting pressures affecting their relationships and work. With extensive experience in trauma, gender-based violence, and helping clients process the impacts of racism, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for healing and growth. My clients often seek not just symptom relief, but a deeper understanding of themselves. Whether you're dealing with recent stress or long-standing concerns, I provide collaborative, empathetic support tailored to your unique needs.
When we start the therapy, we are going to explore your feelings and thoughts, and I will be here to support your journey towards healing. In order for you to explore through the counselling process, I will provide an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I believe that exploration can be the light when you are in the tunnel and I will be here with you to find the way. You are the expert of your life and I have an experience in therapy. I believe the therapy will be a meeting between two experts. I hope we can make this journey together.
Practice description
I believe therapy is about gaining a better understanding of oneself so that one can identify underlying issues, find ways to cope, and work towards healing. My practice is grounded in psychodynamic theory, whilst I embrace an integrative approach incorporating mindfulness and humanistic techniques to tailor therapy to each individual's needs.
In my clinical journey, I have supported clients bringing a wide range of concerns. These include low mood and depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and trauma. I have experience working with loss and grief, neurodiversity, cultural issues, and the impacts of racism. Many clients seek my help with relationship difficulties, work and study-related stress, as well as questions surrounding identity and sexuality.
I firmly believe counselling is a collaborative endeavour between two experts—I bring expertise in counselling theories and techniques, whilst the client brings expertise in their own life. The therapeutic work cannot be completed when either perspective is missing. To nurture this partnership, I offer a safe space where clients feel free to share themselves authentically.
This safe space is built upon confidentiality and a non-judgemental manner. I welcome clients exactly as they are and bring my genuine self to our sessions so that we can explore together. I view therapy as a journey we undertake side by side, with mutual respect and openness guiding our work.
Sessions are held weekly for 50 minutes and are conducted online only. This format provides consistency and accessibility whilst maintaining the depth and quality of our therapeutic relationship.
