About me and my therapy practice
Are you under workplace or relational stress?
Have you experienced Bereavement, prolonged grief, cPTSD or trauma?
Do you have anxiety, ADHD/Autism burnout, or just want to work through your self diagnosis/ recent diagnosis?
Find meaning, perspective and a way forward.
In a reflective, nurturing and empowering environment navigate your way to feeling comfortable, safe and confident in who you are.
I use counselling to help you untangle what you're thinking, process what you're feeling and work out what comes next.
I use Psychotherapy to look at patterns in your life and how who you are now is interwoven with how you were brought up and the experiences that you've lived through. All of this impacts what is happening to you in the present and sometimes understanding these connections can enable you to re-prioritise, feel motivated for change or perhaps gain closure on past trauma.
I use therapeutic coaching to focus on your goals, your future and how you get where you'd like to be. This can be so much fun, deeply enlightening and very affirming. I hope we find ourselves here eventually.
I work with talking therapy, psychoeducation, guided meditations, grounding exercises and Trauma Centre Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY) techniques. - Our sessions will focus fully on restoring the balance between who you are in your mind and the body that you inhabit.
I offer counselling to adults, of all neuro types, those from the LGBTQIA+ community, and Children. I am respectful of all cultures and ethnicities and welcome couples as well as individuals. I am sex positive and use the pronouns 'she/they'. I am supportive of the right for people to be fully accepted in society presenting as whatever gender they identify as, including non binary and fluid identification.
It's important to me that you are given the opportunity to explore your own thoughts, feelings and behaviours and together we can process whatever comes with you into the therapy room.
Practice description
I work online Monday and Thursday or out of The Mowbray Clinic, Melton Mowbray, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
I provide a reflective, nurturing and challenging environment to aid you in navigating your way to becoming the person you want to be.
I won't hold you to unacceptable standards, nor will I judge you and how you get through the tough times. Instead we will focus on what you need to make the life you have reflect the person who you are.
I do not diagnose, nor do I prescribe medication.
My first session
When working online I offer a free 15 minute consultation so that you can get an idea of what it will be like using the computer for therapy.
There are no assessments as standard, but I can assess anxiety levels, depression levels and trauma exposure by using standardised forms. This is only relevant if you would like to compare these results at various points in our work together. They would be for your benefit and not for the benefit of my practice.
When working from The Mowbray Clinic, there are toilet facilities and a comfortable waiting area. The room is only accessible via stairs and is therefore not accessible to those with disabilities that impact their ability to use stairs.

I have daytime and evening availability for supervision once a month. I am happy to work to the Â鶹Դ´ requirements of 1.5 hours supervision a month or offer one off or additional supervision, if that is required.
I can work individually or with a group of up to 3 supervisees. Please feel free to enquire about group waiting lists and I will publish availability in 6 monthly intervals.
About me and my therapy practice
My supervisors training is person centred, NCS approved and focuses on empowering my supervisees to feel confident and competent in their practice as a therapist. I nurture and empower, whilst holding clients to the appropriate ethical and legal standards.
I have worked using a person centred, Integrative and Transactional Analysis perspective. I am qualified in Transactional Analysis (PG-Dip) and have completed NCS endorsed training to work with Children and Young People in a person centred way.
I currently hold UKCP Registration, Â鶹Դ´ Registration and I am looking into the Â鶹Դ´ Accreditation process.
I have worked extensively with male clients, in schools, a prison setting and in private practice.
I work long term with my adult clients and short term with my child clients.

If I can further flame the passion that you have ignited through your training and offer a more interactive approach to how you work then supervision will be inspiring, creative and allow you the freedom to realise your potential in an enjoyable way.
If you think my experience could benefit your perspective, I would love to be able to empower you in your own therapeutic career.
