About me and my therapy practice

Relationships are the cornerstone of our lives, influencing our happiness and overall well-being. Yet, when a relationship hits rough patches, it can leave us feeling lost and overwhelmed, affecting every aspect of our lives. This is where relationship counselling steps in, offering a beacon of hope and a pathway to understanding, growth, and connection.

I'm passionate about guiding couples through the complexities of relationships to a place of harmony and fulfillment. In my practice, I believe that relationship counselling isn't just about resolving conflicts; it's about delving deep into understanding oneself and one's partner, and how those dynamics shape the relationship.

Navigating through challenges alone can feel like an uphill battle, especially when communication breaks down. Seeking help, though daunting, is a courageous step towards healing and growth. Through counselling, we create a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and differences, fostering empathy, understanding, and compassion.

Together, we'll unravel the intricacies of your relationship, working through tough emotions and communication barriers. It's an opportunity not just to mend what's broken but to enrich and deepen your connection with each other. Each session is tailored to your unique needs and goals, providing you with the tools and insights to navigate the journey ahead.

Counselling can be transformative, where you'll not only learn more about yourself and your partner but also discover new ways to relate and connect with each other.

My first session

I initially go through an assessment process which entails talking to the couple together and each person separately, this helps to really understand what is happening and what the focus of the work will be. This can take a few sessions but is an important part of the work.

I keep my client numbers low to retain my full integrity and authenticity as a counsellor. I offer daytime appointments, and I offer concessions in my commitment to making therapy accessible and normalised.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a calm, relational space where you don’t have to rush, explain yourself fully, or be anything other than you are. Many people come to counselling because something doesn’t feel quite right – perhaps anxiety, relationship difficulties, or a sense of feeling stuck or overwhelmed – even if it’s hard to put into words.

My way of working is steady, collaborative and paced around you. I work with close attention to emotional experience, relationships, and the nervous system, including what is felt in the body. Rather than pushing for insight or quick solutions, I focus on creating the conditions for things to unfold naturally, at a speed that feels safe and manageable.

Many people tell me that therapy feels like a place where they can slow down, feel more grounded, and begin to trust their own experience again, without needing to perform or explain everything. I don’t offer quick fixes, but a thoughtful, attuned space where change can emerge over time.

I work with adults and couples, supporting people with anxiety, relationship difficulties, emotional confusion, and life transitions. I also offer EMDR, which can be helpful for processing past experiences that continue to affect the present.

I keep my client numbers low so I can work with care, integrity and authenticity. Sessions are available in person and online, and I offer some concessionary spaces to help keep counselling accessible.

If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, attuned and not directive – someone who will meet you where you are rather than tell you what to do – you’re welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation.

Practice description

With a deep sense of empathy and intuition, I offer counselling that is thoughtful, relational, and paced with care. I continue to develop my work through reflection, training, and experience, including the use of EMDR alongside talking therapy where appropriate.

I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard without pressure to explain or perform. My client-centred approach supports you in exploring and making sense of life experiences that may be causing distress, allowing understanding and integration to develop in a way that feels right for you.

When working with couples, I aim to create a space where both people feel safe to be understood, supporting clearer communication and a more collaborative way of relating. Therapy is not about fixing, but about creating the conditions for clarity, healing, and change to unfold over time.
