About me and my therapy practice

If something in your life feels heavy, confusing, or out of balance, you’re not alone. You might be carrying more than you let others see, feeling overwhelmed or burnt out, or noticing that worry and tension are taking up more space than you’d like.

However things look for you right now, you don’t have to hold everything by yourself. I offer a safe, steady space where you can slow down, breathe, and begin to make sense of what’s going on, at a pace that feels manageable for you.

I work predominantly in a person-centred way, meaning our relationship sits at the heart of the work we do together. I believe trust, safety and feeling genuinely heard are the foundations of therapy. I won’t push you or try to fix you. Instead, I offer a warm, supportive relationship where you can explore what’s going on beneath the surface with honesty and compassion.

I work gently and collaboratively, making sense of your experiences together and exploring ways of coping with whatever life is bringing up for you.

I often work with adults who feel anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out or stuck, including people who are used to coping well but are finding that something no longer feels manageable. Many struggle with overthinking, self-doubt, people-pleasing, low mood, or feeling disconnected from themselves. I also work with people who are coping on the surface but want to understand themselves more deeply, make sense of repeating patterns, and feel more grounded and authentic.

I believe wellbeing isn’t only a mind-based process. Our emotions, body and sense of connection are deeply linked. Outside of counselling, I founded Rootra Ltd, a separate wellness space bringing together yoga, reflection and community. There is no expectation to take part; I mention it simply because it reflects how I understand whole-person wellbeing.

You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. If you’re curious about working together, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

Practice description

I offer a calm, supportive space to slow down and focus on what’s truly going on for you. Sessions are steady and unpressured, and we move at a pace that feels manageable and respectful of where you are.

My work is grounded in a person-centred approach, which means you are always at the centre of our work together. I won’t push you or tell you what you should be feeling. Instead, I offer a warm, relational space where trust and feeling genuinely heard form the foundation of our work, allowing you to explore your experiences with honesty and compassion.

I am also CBT-informed and can gently introduce practical tools when they feel helpful. This might include support with managing negative thoughts, reconnecting to your values, or offering grounding techniques to use between sessions. Any tools are offered as suggestions, and we only use them if they feel helpful for you.

I work in a gentle, reflective way. There is no pressure to fix anything or to have the right words. You don’t need to know where to start; we can take time to understand things together.

Our work is collaborative, and you are always involved in shaping the direction of our sessions. My aim is to help you feel more connected to yourself, supported in navigating what life is bringing up, and better equipped to move forward in a way that feels authentic to you.

My first session

Our first session is a place for us to get to know each other, for you to share what’s been going on for you, what’s been difficult, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy.

This session also helps me understand whether I’m the right therapist to support you. If I feel your needs would be better met by another therapist or service, I will talk this through with you openly and support you in finding the right fit. My intention is always that you receive care that’s safest and most helpful for you.
