About me and my therapy practice

I’m passionate about helping my clients find their strengths, believe in themselves, and lead happier more fulfilled lives. Therapy is not just about improving yourself; it’s also about letting go of the version of you that you created to cope with life’s challenges. Sometimes, in tough times, we lose touch with who we really are.

I am a psychotherapist, coach, and supervisor who lives in Manchester. I grew up in Wales, and I am from a dual heritage background (Black African & Indian). My motivation for becoming a therapist was born through my own life experiences. Experiencing the incredible benefits of having the right professional support in my life first hand, I wanted to be able to provide the same support to others. Like many people, I have faced trauma, sadness, and loss and learned that we can't truly be our best selves when we’re burdened by unresolved issues.

My goal is to provide that same support to my clients, and I’m dedicated to creating a safe space where clients can talk about their challenges, realise their potential, and live fulfilling lives.

Practice description

The foundation of my work is a person centred approach. I work collaboratively with you, sitting alongside the feelings and experiences that arise, exploring their roots while also considering the environment in which they show up. Therapy is a partnership, and to get the most from our time together, your engagement both during sessions and in between is an essential part of the process.

I offer a supportive and compassionate environment, working in partnership with my clients, and believe in approaching therapeutic work with kindness, an open mind, an open heart, and the occasional well-timed laugh to remind us that healing doesn’t have to be serious all the time. My specialisms are focused on helping survivors of abuse, those navigating romantic relationship issues, and issues of race and identity.

I offer online therapy through video or phone calls to people across the U.K., and I meet clients in person in Manchester (M1 2AP). I support both short & long-term therapy options, but I won’t prescribe how many sessions you need. This is something we can work through together and can be led by you, your comfortability and progress.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychotherapist, coach, and supervisor based in Manchester.

Before training as a therapist, I worked in corporate banking and HR, my motivation for becoming a therapist was born through my own life experiences. My clinical work includes charity-based, trauma-informed therapy supporting men, and private practice work focused on relationship difficulties, career transitions, and identity. Alongside this, I’ve also worked in universities, supporting trainee counsellors to build confidence, develop their practice, and deepen their personal growth.

Having experienced the benefits of having the right professional support with my therapy practice first hand through supervision, I trained as a supervisor to support practitioners in developing an approach to their therapeutic practice that feels authentic, balanced, and fulfilling.

I offer supervision as a collaborative, justice-informed space that is attentive to identity and difference. I aim to create a reflective, restorative environment where you as the practitioner can learn and grow, with challenge offered in a supportive, non-judgemental way. I also aim to hold space to consider the wider systems and oppressive contexts that shape both our clients’ experiences and our own work.

Practice description

My work is grounded in the person centred approach. I work collaboratively with you, sitting alongside the feelings and experiences that arise, exploring their roots and the contexts in which they emerge. Our supervision work is a partnership, and getting the most from it involves your active engagement both within sessions and between them.

I tend to ground my supervision in process. Rather than being tied to one specific theory, I work across models whilst paying attention to relational dynamics, meaning making, and your lived experience as the practitioner.

I see supervision as a space where the whole of the work is welcome. You’re encouraged to bring whatever feels relevant, not only theory and technique, but also intuition, spirituality, values and personal responses that shape how you practice.

If you're interested in working with me, just send me an email!

What would a first session be like?

We'll start by talking through what inspired you to become a therapist, what you'd like to get from supervision right now, get a picture of what your current practice is looking like and where you aspire for it to be.

My aim is to help you feel secure and inspired in your work while encouraging ethical, anti-oppressive practice across your counselling and psychotherapy work.

How long do sessions last?

I offer clinical supervision to qualified and trainee counsellors and psychotherapists face to face in Manchester or virtually for those based elsewhere in the U.K.
