About me and my therapy practice

It can be hard to know where to begin, or even to find the words for how things feel. You might have something specific you want to talk about, or just a sense that things don’t feel quite right. Whatever brings you, I offer a warm, respectful, and non-judgemental space where you can take things at your own pace.

You might be experiencing anxiety, feeling stuck, living with the impact of past experiences, or navigating a significant life change. You may also find it difficult to talk about how you feel, or feel that others haven’t fully understood you. These are all things we can explore together.

I am a qualified psychotherapist, trained over five years in the Person-Centred approach, and have been working with clients since 2015. Alongside my private practice, I have experience working across schools, universities, and the voluntary sector, supporting both young people and adults.

My background includes service in the Armed Forces and work within victim support services. This has given me a grounded understanding of trauma, identity, and the lasting impact life experiences can have on emotional wellbeing. I have a particular interest in men’s mental health and in supporting people through life transitions, especially those who may find it hard to open up or feel understood.

I also have specialist experience in fertility and family building journeys, including infertility, surrogacy, and non-traditional paths to parenthood. I understand how complex and personal these experiences can be, and I aim to offer a space where this can be spoken about openly and with care. I am a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association.

If something in what you’ve read connects with you, you’re very welcome to get in touch.

Practice description

My approach is led by you, allowing space for you to explore your thoughts and feelings in a way that feels safe and meaningful. this will help you to better understand yourself, make sense of your experiences, and find a way forward that feels right for you. Therapy can be a transformative as well as a tough process, together we can explore whatever you would like and work collaboratively to help you grow and find satisfaction in your life.

My first session

The first session is a chance for us to meet and begin to get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. You’re welcome to share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with there is no expectation to tell your whole story straight away.

We might talk a little about what has brought you to therapy, what you’re hoping for, and any questions or concerns you may have. I’ll also explain how I work, including things like confidentiality, so you know what to expect.

There’s no pressure or commitment beyond this first meeting. It’s simply an opportunity for you to experience what it’s like to sit together and decide what feels right for you.
