About me and my therapy practice
Specialist Counselling for Anxiety
Anxiety can quietly take up a lot of space in your life. That unsettled feeling in your stomach, the constant overthinking, the sense of being on edge, it can make even ordinary days feel harder than they need to be. You might find it difficult to fully relax with your family, focus at work, or enjoy moments that used to feel easy.
It is tiring carrying that weight, especially if you have been trying to appear 鈥渇ine鈥 on the outside while struggling internally.
I understand how consuming anxiety can feel. Having experienced it myself, I know how powerful it can be, but I also know that change is possible. My passion is supporting people to gently step out of the cycle of anxiety, understand what is driving it, and begin to feel safer and more confident within themselves.
What I Can Help You With
- Fear of anxiety itself, worrying about panic, losing control, or constant anticipation of something going wrong
- Physical symptoms such as a racing heart, tension, breathlessness or nausea
- Overthinking and 鈥渨hat if鈥 spirals
- Avoiding people, places or situations that feel overwhelming
- Low self trust or self esteem, doubting yourself or second guessing decisions
- Feeling emotionally stretched or unsure how to cope
- Becoming more present with family, friends and work
- Having a space where you do not have to pretend, and where no fear feels too small or silly to talk about
Practice description
How I Work
I offer a calm, supportive space where you can show up as you are. Together, we will gently explore:
- What may be sitting underneath the anxiety, including unmet needs, past experiences, or long held fears
- How to break the cycle of fearing anxiety itself, so it begins to feel less overwhelming
- Practical ways to soothe your nervous system and regain a sense of steadiness
- Building a more compassionate and trusting relationship with yourself
My approach is integrative and person centred, grounded in empathy and collaboration. Whether this is your first experience of therapy or you have had counselling before, you will be met with warmth, honesty and respect, without pressure or judgement.
A recent client shared:
"At first, she helped me understand why I was feeling the way I was. Amy helped me uncover the root of my anxiety. Once I understood that connection, everything began to make more sense. From there, we worked together on understanding, acceptance, and developing healthy coping mechanisms. It took time, but gradually my entire perspective began to shift. With every session, I felt a part of myself returning."
Next Steps
I offer in person sessions from my quiet, cosy garden therapy room in Eagle Farm South, Milton Keynes, with free parking. I also offer online sessions via Zoom for adults aged 18 and over.
Sessions are 拢70 and payable in advance.
If you are considering counselling, you are welcome to book a free 10 minute introductory call. This gives us a chance to briefly connect and for me to learn a little about what is bringing you to therapy.
If you decide you would like to explore working together, we can arrange a full consultation session at 拢70. This gives us time to look at your needs in more depth and decide whether we are a good fit. From there, we can book regular sessions if that feels right.
If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch or visit crowncounselling.co.uk. I look forward to connecting with you!
My first session
During the first session we will go through your client intake form and I will ask a few more questions to get to know you a little better. There will also be an opportunity for you to ask me anything you would like.
From there, if we decide that we will be a good fit, we can get you booked in for regular counselling sessions.
