About me and my therapy practice
You may find yourself constantly doubting your worth, feeling anxious in relationships, or struggling to understand who you are. Perhaps you feel emotionally numb, overwhelmed, or like you’re always bracing for something to go wrong. You might notice patterns people-pleasing, self-sabotage, difficulty trusting others that keep repeating, even when you long for change. These experiences often stem from early emotional wounds: times when your needs weren’t met, your voice wasn’t heard, or your safety was compromised.
These wounds may be invisible, but their impact is real. They shape how we see ourselves, how we relate to others, and how safe we feel in the world. And sometimes, they’re not just ours they’re inherited. Generational trauma can silently pass through families, showing up as emotional reactivity, fear of intimacy, or cycles of dysfunction that feel impossible to break. But they can be broken. Awareness is the first step toward healing.
Practice description
In our work together, I will honour your individuality your story, your pace, your voice. I offer a space grounded in confidentiality, active listening, and deep compassion, where you can feel safe enough to explore what hurts and strong enough to begin healing. Using a psychodynamic approach, we’ll uncover unconscious beliefs and relational dynamics that may be holding you back. Through person-centred therapy, you’ll be met with empathy and respect, empowering you to reconnect with your authentic self. I also integrate CBT tools to help you manage anxiety, challenge unhelpful thoughts, and build emotional resilience.
I bring over 15 years of experience as a qualified social worker specialising in child protection and safeguarding, alongside my role as an expert witness in family courts where I advocate for children at risk. I am trained in adult attachment, domestic violence, trauma-informed practice, and the cycle of trauma, with a deep understanding of how generational wounds shape identity and relationships. As a qualified therapist, I support individuals navigating self-esteem issues, identity confusion, and the lingering effects of early relational harm.
My strength lies in seeing what’s often missed holding space for the parts of you that feel silenced, broken, or misunderstood. I offer clarity where there’s confusion, and compassion where there’s shame. Together, we’ll build a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, empowering, and transformative.
You don’t have to carry this alone. Healing is possible and it starts with being seen.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to help us explore whether we’re the right fit for working together. This is a space for you to share what’s bringing you to therapy, ask any questions, and get a feel for how I work.
If we decide to move forward, our first session will focus on understanding your needs and setting meaningful goals. I’ll complete a therapeutic assessment to ensure our work is tailored to support your emotional wellbeing, growth, and healing.
This is your space and it starts with a conversation.
