About me and my therapy practice
Hi, I’m Laura, a Â鶹Դ´-registered therapist offering depth-focused, IFS-informed therapy for adults.
I work with people who are navigating periods of change, growth, or inner questioning. My work is relational, spacious, and grounded in curiosity, supporting longer-term shifts in how you experience yourself and your inner world.
How I work
I draw on Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Person-Centred principles to create a warm, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we’ll work with the different parts of you (the parts that protect, carry pain, feel joy, or hold strong emotions) while also reflecting on patterns, relationships, and your sense of self.
My approach is humanistic, trauma-informed, and grounded in respect and curiosity about your world (inner and outer). I am mindful that the world around us shapes our experiences, and I offer space for you to explore the intersections of your identity. My practice is culturally aware and LGBTQIA+ friendly.
I also work holistically, honouring both the mind and body. Considering both the body and the mind can be helpful for those whose bodies are a place of anxiety (for those experiencing change, physical illness, or low self-confidence, to name but a few).
Ideas from neuroscience, philosophy, mindfulness and Jungian concepts (like how we experience our dreams) also weave into my practice. I am deeply fascinated by archetypes, mythology, and our connections to land and place.
You set the pace, and in our sessions, we will focus on what is meaningful for you in the present moment, as well as patterns or experiences from your past.
If you'd like to know more about Internal Family Systems Therapy, you can find out more on my website. Or I'd be happy to meet to explain how these sessions work.
