About me and my therapy practice

I offer a thoughtful, collaborative approach to therapy, creating a space where you can speak openly and feel genuinely heard.

My work is grounded in building a strong therapeutic relationship, as I believe this is central to meaningful change.

I integrate different therapeutic models depending on your needs, including EMDR trauma therapy, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

I also work in a neuro-affirming way, recognising and respecting neurodiversity as a natural and valuable part of human experience.

This allows us to explore your experiences at a pace that feels right for you, whether you are looking to understand patterns, process emotions, or navigate a current difficulty.

I aim to balance gentle challenge with support, helping you develop insight, resilience, and practical ways forward. Above all, I work with respect, curiosity, and a commitment to providing a safe and non-judgmental environment.

Practice description

You can expect a calm, welcoming, and confidential space where your experiences are taken seriously.

I work with individuals facing a range of challenges, including anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, trauma, and life transitions.

I offer EMDR trauma therapy where appropriate, supporting the processing of distressing or overwhelming experiences.

My practice is also neuro-affirming, meaning I adapt the way we work to suit your individual needs, preferences, and ways of processing the world.

Sessions are led by you, but I will actively support the process with reflection, insight, and appropriate challenge where helpful.

Some people come with a clear focus, while others begin with a more general sense that something isn’t quite right—both are equally valid starting points.

Together, we can work towards increasing self-awareness, improving emotional wellbeing, and developing coping strategies that feel realistic and sustainable.

My first session

I offer face-to-face therapy sessions in Manchester city centre, as well as online and telephone appointments for those who prefer remote access.

Online sessions typically take place via Zoom, with alternative platforms available where needed.

I tailor sessions to each individual, whether you are seeking short-term support around a specific issue or a longer-term space to explore deeper emotional experiences, including trauma work such as EMDR, and develop coping strategies.

I recommend starting with a free 15-minute consultation, which gives us an opportunity to discuss what you are looking for, ask any questions, and consider whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

If we decide to proceed, the first full session will involve exploring your current situation, relevant background, and what you hope to gain from therapy, helping us shape a shared direction for the work.

About me and my therapy practice

I offer a collaborative and reflective approach to supervision, creating a space where both trainees and experienced therapists can think openly about their clinical work.

My approach is grounded in building a strong supervisory relationship, where curiosity, honesty, and professional development are supported in equal measure.

I integrate different supervisory models depending on your stage of practice and individual needs, balancing support with appropriate challenge to deepen insight and clinical confidence.

I bring experience from my work as a therapy tutor and from running training placements, which informs my understanding of the developmental journey from trainee to independent practitioner.

I aim to support you not only in your client work, but also in developing your professional identity, ethical awareness, and reflective capacity.

Practice description

You can expect a supportive, structured, and professionally focused space where your work is explored with care and depth.

I work with both trainee and qualified therapists, adapting my approach depending on your level of experience, training requirements, and areas of focus.

For trainees, this may include more guidance around theory, skills development, and meeting course or placement expectations.

For experienced therapists, the focus may be on deepening clinical understanding, working with complexity, and maintaining reflective and ethical practice.

My background in teaching counselling and managing placements means I am familiar with course requirements and assessment processes, and can support you in navigating these confidently.

Across all levels, I aim to create an environment where you feel able to bring both strengths and uncertainties, supporting growth, resilience, and safe, effective practice.

My first session

I offer supervision sessions face-to-face in Manchester city centre, as well as online and telephone appointments for flexibility.

Online sessions typically take place via Zoom, with alternative platforms available where needed.

Supervision is tailored to your individual practice, whether you are in training, newly qualified, or an experienced therapist seeking ongoing professional support.

I recommend beginning with a free 15-minute consultation, giving us the opportunity to discuss your needs, training requirements (if applicable), and what you are looking for from supervision.

This also allows us to consider whether we are a good fit to work together.

We will explore your current practice, previous experience, and any specific goals or requirements, helping to establish a clear and supportive framework for our ongoing work together.
