About me and my therapy practice
Welcome to my page. I am guessing that if you are reading these words, you might be seeking help at a difficult time in your life. I understand that finding the right support can sometimes feel overwhelming and is not always easy.
My aim here is to share transparently about my work as a therapist to help you make a decision about whether I might be the right counsellor for you.
I work with individual adults aged 18+ on a remote basis, which I find works well for most clients. This means I am able to work with clients throughout the UK, either via video call or on the telephone.
I'm a Person-Centred Experiential (PCE) therapist and hold a first-class honours degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy from Edge Hill University. I have been in practice since 2019.
I have worked as a therapist in Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP's), the third sector, and in higher education at a University counselling service.
I currently work as a Step 3 Counsellor at an NHS Talking Therapy Service alongside my own private practice.
I am an accredited member of the Â鶹Դ´ and I’m currently studying for a postgraduate certificate in Counselling for Depression at the University of Central Lancashire.
I am also committed to continually developing my practice as a therapist and have completed various trainings for continued professional development. Most recently in June 2025, I completed Arts for The Blues training at The University of Salford.
Prior to becoming a therapist I spent 10 years working in the airline industry and have a special interest in working with flight and cabin crew, both current crew and those adjusting to life after leaving the airline industry.
I am also a qualified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and my knowledge of yoga, breathwork and spirituality informs my practice. I have taught yoga in various mental health and wellbeing settings since qualifying in 2019.
Practice description
Taking the step to come to counselling could be seen as a valuable investment in yourself as we work together on your difficulties, creating opportunities for positive change.
PCE therapy is a gentle but powerful approach to therapy which helps you to make sense of your emotions and experiences and move forwards towards your truest potential. The approach is based on respectful human connection grounded in care and compassion.
As a Person-Centred Experiential (PCE) therapist, I can offer a warm, caring, safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore your experiences and emotional distress. This may facilitate greater self-awareness, empowerment, and uncover inner resources that you can later draw upon.
I am committed to being present with you in whatever you may be going through, listening carefully and supporting you every step of the way. I am not going to tell you what to do or decide the focus of the sessions as I trust you know what is right for you.
I don’t offer tools, techniques or fixes for your difficulties, but rather aim to be by your side moment by moment through our sessions to safely support your personal truths, wisdom and insight to come forwards.
My first session
The first session is focused on gathering some relevant background information so I can understand more about you. We will also agree on our way of working together, explore your reasons for seeking out counselling/therapy at this time and establish a focus for our work together.
This might also involve talking about any needs, requirements or adjustments you might find helpful for our sessions.
I will also outline my way of working and my approach to therapy. By the end of the first session, we will know if we will be able to work together. If what I offer is not right for you, I will endeavour to signpost you to other sources of support.
If you feel that we could work together, please drop me a line and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I aim to respond to all contact within 1-2 working days wherever possible.
