About me and my therapy practice
Do you often feel sad, anxious, or low in mood? Perhaps you struggle with depression or a sense of not feeling good enough. You might feel as though life is passing you by, watching others seem to have happier relationships, fulfilling careers, or supportive families, while worrying that these things aren鈥檛 happening for you.
Maybe you lack confidence in your appearance, your work, or your relationships. Have you been told you鈥檙e 鈥渢oo sensitive鈥, or do you find yourself putting others鈥 needs first, struggling to say no? You may carry feelings of guilt or shame, or find yourself stuck in patterns that are hard to change.
You might be coming to terms with the loss of a loved one, or another kind of loss 鈥 such as losing a job, a change in status, or children leaving home. Perhaps you are caring for a family member with dementia or cancer, or you have experienced trauma such as domestic or sexual abuse. You may also be worried about your child or young person and the difficulties they are facing at school or with peers.
If any of this resonates with you, I understand how painful and overwhelming it can feel. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly and feel heard. Counselling can help you feel happier, manage anxiety, see your difficulties from a different perspective, and find healthier ways of coping or moving forward.
I work with adults and with children and young people aged 12 and over. If you would like to explore what it might be like to work with me, you are welcome to email me to arrange a free telephone call to see whether I am the right counsellor for you.
鈥淵ou are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and twice as beautiful as you鈥檇 ever imagined.鈥

About me and my therapy practice
I鈥檓 an experienced qualified trauma informed counsellor and clinical supervisor offering reflective, supportive, and ethically based supervision using the 7-eyed model developed by Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet. My particular area of expertise is rape and sexual abuse counselling. I supervise trainees, newly qualified practitioners, and experienced therapists working with adults and children and young people aged 12 or over.
I provide a safe, collaborative space, giving supervisees the opportunity to reflect at depth about their work, develop confidence in their practice, and feel supported both professionally and personally. My approach encourages reflection, curiosity, and compassion, recognising the emotional impact of therapeutic work and the importance of self-awareness, boundaries, and ethical practice. I aim to create a trusting supervisory relationship where you feel able to bring uncertainty, challenges, and successes without fear of judgement.
Practice description
Supervision encompasses case discussion, and also focusses on the therapist behind the work - looking at interventions used, the client/supervisee relationship, the supervisee, the supervisor/supervisee relationship, the supervisor鈥檚 processes, and the wider context.
If you would like to explore whether I might be the right supervisor for you, please feel free to get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
My first session
In our first session I will ask you to give me an overview of all your clients to enable us to start to work together
