Availability
I am currently available on Mondays (9:30-4pm), Wednesdays (6-8pm) and Fridays.
I am not available on Saturdays, and Sundays.
I provide short and long-term therapy which is client-led. However, if I feel I cannot support your journey I will signpost you to the most suitable services.
I endeavour to respond to enquiries, scheduling and cancellation of appointments, by email and mobile, within these contactable hours only.
However, if you find yourself in crisis, information and contacts, outside of these working hours, can be provided, in consultation with you.
About me and my therapy practice
About me
I am a person-centred counsellor, experienced in working with children, young people, and adults. My work is grounded in empathy and understanding, particularly for those who have faced challenges in childhood and may now feel ready to seek support.
Alongside counselling, I am a qualified teacher with over 15 years’ experience in schools and further education. This background enriches my practice, enabling me to offer psychoeducation to help clients draw on their own resources and make informed choices.
My role is to create a space where you can explore, reflect, and make meaningful change that feels right for you.
My approach
I believe each person’s lived experience is unique, and I adapt my approach and interventions to meet your individual needs and circumstances.
You can expect a safe, non-judgemental environment where you are heard and respected. The counselling relationship—built on trust, respect, and understanding—is at the heart of the work we do together.
If words are hard to find, I can offer creative and alternative ways of expressing yourself.
I have a particular interest in:
Women’s and men’s issues
Trauma and abuse
Exploring identity through the lens of ‘social graces’ (e.g. race, culture, gender, class, religion)
