About me and my therapy practice

I鈥檓 Natasha, a therapist and coach specialising in the emotional reality of parenthood. I support mums and parents who love their children deeply but feel anxious, overwhelmed, resentful, disconnected from themselves or exhausted from keeping everything together.

We prepare so much for birth, feeding and what the baby needs, but rarely for how becoming a parent can change your identity, confidence, relationships, work, friendships and sense of freedom. You can love your children and still miss parts of your old life or not enjoy every part of parenting. Both things can be true.

Many of the parents I work with are the capable ones. The ones everyone else relies on. They may appear to be coping, but inside feel burnt out, stuck in overthinking, unable to switch off or worried they are getting everything wrong.

I work with matrescence, anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, parental burnout, identity and self-worth. I also support people affected by pregnancy and baby loss, offering a sensitive space where grief can be spoken about, without judgement or pressure to cope in a particular way.

Therapy isn鈥檛 about fixing you or telling you how to parent. It鈥檚 about helping you understand your triggers, beliefs and relationship patterns, feel safer within yourself and create more space for joy, connection and confidence.

I also work with couples whose relationship has changed since having children. We explore why the same arguments keep happening, how resentment builds, how the mental load affects your connection and how childhood experiences shape what you expect, fear and need from each other. I can help you communicate more openly, repair after conflict and feel like you鈥檙e on the same team again.

My sessions are warm, honest and relaxed. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself and saying what you actually think, without worrying about saying the 鈥渞ight鈥 thing.

Practice description

I offer individual and couples therapy in person in Hove and online across the UK.

My sessions are relaxed, conversational and collaborative. You don鈥檛 need to arrive knowing exactly what to say or with a perfectly clear goal. We鈥檒l start with what is happening in your life now and work from there.

I won鈥檛 just sit and nod. I鈥檒l listen without judgement, but I鈥檒l also ask questions, gently challenge you and help you notice patterns that can be difficult to see when you鈥檙e caught up in them. Where helpful, I may share practical tools or explain what could be happening through an attachment or nervous system lens.

For couples, I help you slow down recurring arguments, understand what is happening underneath them and communicate without immediately becoming defensive, angry or shutting down.

I offer a free introductory call so you can ask questions, tell me a little about what is bringing you to therapy and see whether working together feels right.

My first session

The first session is an assessment and an opportunity for us to get to know each other. We鈥檒l explore what has brought you to therapy, what is happening in your life now and what you would like to change. We may also begin identifying patterns, triggers and past experiences that could be affecting how you feel or respond today.

For couples, the first session is held together. I then usually recommend one individual session with each partner before we continue the work as a couple. This gives each person space to share their perspective and helps me build a fuller understanding of your relationship.
