About me and my therapy practice
It's always good to talk....but it's not always so easy to find someone to listen.
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space in which we can explore your feelings, anxieties, life-experiences... anything in fact that you need to talk about.
I am an experienced, Â鶹Դ´ registered therapist offering online and in-person appointments at my home in the beautiful, peaceful countryside just outside Rye. Whether you are struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship issues or simply feeling overwhelmed, I offer a grounded, compassionate space to help you make sense of what's going on.
My integrative, person-centred approach allows me to draw on a range of therapeutic models in order to find the right support for you. Building a trusting, supportive relationship is at the heart of my practice...I am here to sit by your side and help you make sense of your life story.
Practice description
If you choose to work with me you will find I am deeply committed to supporting you through life's many challenges. I offer professional, compassionate therapy for anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, parenting difficulties, relationship issues and the everyday stresses that can often feel overwhelming.
My own therapeutic journey began when I volunteered on a domestic violence helpline where I witnessed the strength and courage it takes to reach out for support. I then trained as a Samaritan, offering a safe, non-judgemental space to people at their most vulnerable. These early experiences shaped my belief in the power of empathy, human connection and the healing that comes from being truly heard.
I went on to work for a low-cost counselling charity (Wilfrid's House) supporting clients with a wide range of issues including historic child abuse, bereavement, addiction and eating disorders. I also worked for the charity Mosac (now known as We Stand) which provides therapeutic support to parents whose children have experienced sexual abuse.
In my private practice, I work with clients facing many different issues. My approach is open, warm and collaborative and my aim is to help you feel supported, understood and empowered to move forward.
My first session
After receiving an email inquiry from you, I will get in touch to arrange a telephone call where we can introduce ourselves; discuss what has prompted you to seek counselling and the issues you would like to talk about. And I will answer any questions you might have. Following the call, if you decide to go ahead we will organise a suitable time for an initial session either in person or on zoom. We will review these early sessions together and I always encourage honest feedback from my clients.
I am a registered member of Â鶹Դ´ and follow their code of ethics. I have regular supervision and I am fully insured.

About me and my therapy practice
It's always good to talk.... but it's not always so easy to find someone to listen...
I offer a safe, non-judgemental space in which we can explore your feelings, anxieties, life experiences... anything in fact that you need to talk about.
I am a Â鶹Դ´ registered therapist offering online and in-person appointments from my office very near to Clapham tube station, in a quiet, safe environment where you can relax and we can work together on whatever you choose to bring.
I work integratively from a person-centered perspective, which means I can draw on a number of different therapeutic styles in order to find the right support for you. But my primary concern is to develop a trusting relationship with you, sit by your side and help you make sense of your life story.
Practice description
If you chose to work with me, you will find that I am well prepared to work with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties and all the everyday struggles that life brings.
I began my therapeutic career by volunteering on a domestic violence helpline where I first witnessed the strength and courage it takes to reach out for support. Then I became a Samaritan listening to people at their most vulnerable. Both these early experiences taught me the importance of compassion and the healing power of being truly heard.
More recently I have worked for a low-cost counselling charity (Wilfrid's House) where I supported clients dealing with a wide range of issues including historic child abuse, bereavement, addiction and eating disorders. I have also worked for the charity Mosac (now called We Stand) providing therapeutic support to parents whose children have experienced sexual abuse.
My clients in private practice come with many varied challenges and I am confident that I have enough compassion, understanding and experience to help clients, wherever they are on their journey.
Most recently I've become increasingly aware of the growing challenges faced by parents of young adults. We are experiencing an explosion of mental health issues in our young people, but very little is heard about the struggles of the parents just trying to cope. So from September 2025 I will be running small therapeutic groups for such parents which will offer a safe, confidential and supportive environment where they can off-load and share the difficulties they are facing.
My first session
After receiving an email inquiry from you, I will get in touch to arrange a free 30 minute telephone call or zoom session where we can discuss what has prompted you to seek counselling, what issues you would like to talk about and if you have any questions for me. Following the call, if you decide to go ahead, we will organise a suitable time to continue with sessions either in person or on zoom.
