About me and my therapy practice

A pluralistic therapist is probably the best way of describing my practice, which is the general term used for someone that is trained in different skills and can therefore adapt their way of working to the needs of their clients.

Regards my training and experience, I am trained in Person-Centred, Brief Solution Focus and Children and Young People (Level 5). My practice is also informed by Thought Field Therapy, Theraplay, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP Levels 1 & 2) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT Foundation). I am also an accredited member of the Â鶹ԭ´´ and have in excess of 9 years experience working with children and young people, adults and families across a range of sectors, including education, forensic services, charities, stepped care and occupational health.

I am passionate about counselling, learning and supporting insight, reflection, and change for growth in myself and in others.

My costs vary as I pay a rental fee for a room (Chester city centre) when having face to face sessions.

Face to face: £50

Online: £40

Student counsellor concessions available.

Practice description

My passion, warmth and genuine curiosity is what supports my ability to build quick and meaningful therapeutic relationships with clients from a wide range of ages and backgrounds. As a supervisee, I hope you too will experience this from me. I know how important it is to be heard, understood and supported in what can otherwise feel like isolating and sometimes fear inducing work and the need to have professional relationships (and thinking) to sustain us in the work we do.

I will strive to provide an environment that encourages reflective honesty, safety in being vulnerable and professional growth through working collaboratively and honouring your experience, expertise and difficulties.

Regarding my approach, we can discuss client work through talking and exploring or through using art work, symbols, figures or metaphor. As mentioned above, my supervision practice is informed by the seven eyed model, which explores the intersubjectivity of relationships, whilst taking in to consideration how your modality informs your experience of your client and possible interventions that you use. Because of this, we're not restricted to a particular model of therapy when thinking about your client work.
