About me and my therapy practice
Hello, my name is Katy - welcome to my page!
It takes courage to seek support and advocate for yourself. If you are struggling, feeling stuck, and need help to make changes in your life. There is no issue too big or too small for us to tackle in therapy. Your commitment and investment in yourself through therapy can be transformative. It can help you to make radical and positive steps for your mental health and well-being.
I am a person-centred psychotherapist specialised in working creatively. I draw on years of experience working in the arts and I am a professional member of Creative Counsellors. I often use mediums like drawing, writing and activities on the whiteboard to support the therapeutic process. I find that this often helps clients to connect with and to process difficult and stuck emotions associated with anxiety and trauma. I have found that this way of working can be effective in providing a supportive holding space for my neurodivergent clients' process.
My additional special interest is working with those who have experienced difficult pregnancies, fertility challenges and loss. This includes individuals who are undergoing IVF or about to take on this journey.
