About me and my therapy practice

I offer a calm, compassionate space where you can feel safe, understood, and supported - whether you're facing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, burnout, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life. My aim is to help you make sense of what’s going on and support you in moving toward clarity, confidence and emotional ease.

My approach is relational and collaborative - we’ll work together to explore your experiences, identify unhelpful patterns, and find ways forward that feel manageable and meaningful to you. Whether you have specific goals or just know something needs to change, I’ll meet you where you are and support you at your pace.

I work integratively, drawing on person-centred therapy, CBT, and attachment-informed approaches. This allows me to tailor our sessions to your individual needs and offer both space for reflection and practical tools for change. I also bring lived and professional experience of working with neurodivergent clients and offer a neuro-affirming, inclusive therapy space.

Sessions are available both in person (Derby, DE73) and online across the UK via Zoom or Google Meet. Online therapy can offer greater flexibility and convenience, especially if you're balancing work, family, or other commitments. I offer a free 20-minute consultation so we can connect, talk through what you're looking for, and see if I’m the right fit for you.

Practice description

🎓 Training & Professional Background

I hold an MSc in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Derby and am an Accredited Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MÂ鶹ԭ´´, Accred).

My approach is integrative, which means I draw on a blend of therapeutic models depending on what you need. The core of my work is shaped by:

Person-centred therapy – creating a warm, non-judgemental space

CBT – helping gently shift unhelpful thinking patterns

Attachment theory – exploring how early relationships shape how we relate now

I’m committed to ongoing professional development and regularly update my training so my work stays thoughtful, ethical and grounded in current research.

🌿 Experience & Who I Work With

Over the years, I’ve supported people in a range of settings, including a sixth-form college, an NHS staff counselling service, and in private practice. I’ve worked with a wide range of issues, but most often support people who are struggling with:

Anxiety, overthinking or panic

Work-related stress, burnout or overwhelm

Low self-esteem, perfectionism or self-doubt

Feeling stuck, disconnected or emotionally exhausted

I also welcome clients who are neurodivergent and offer a therapy space that’s affirming, flexible and understanding of different ways of being in the world.

If you’re feeling lost, anxious, or just not sure where to start, you’re not alone and you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. I’m here to support you at your own pace, with care and without pressure.

My first session

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, so I aim to make your first session as relaxed and supportive as possible. It’s a chance for us to get to know each other and for you to share what’s brought you to therapy, at your own pace.

You won’t need to prepare anything in advance or know exactly what to say. I’ll ask some gentle questions to help us explore what’s going on for you and what you’d like to get out of therapy - whether that’s managing anxiety, navigating stress, improving self-esteem, or simply having a space to talk things through.

There’s no pressure to commit beyond that first session. We’ll talk about how I work, answer any questions you might have, and decide together if it feels like the right fit for you.
