About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced integrative counsellor with over a decade of clinical practice. My work is grounded in person-centred principles and informed by an understanding of trauma and attachment, recognising how early relationships and life experiences can shape how we experience ourselves and others.
Many people seek therapy when something in their life or relationships no longer feels manageable.
You may find yourself feeling stuck, confused about your relationships, or struggling with emotions that feel difficult to make sense of.
Therapy offers a space to step back from the noise of everyday life and think carefully about what may be happening beneath the surface.
I have extensive experience supporting adults with a wide range of emotional and relational difficulties, and I have particular expertise in working with:
• addiction and the impact on partners and families
• trauma and the lasting effects of difficult experiences
• relationship difficulties, including emotionally damaging or controlling relationships
• anxiety, depression and emotional overwhelm
• shame, low self-esteem and identity struggles
• grief, loss and significant life transitions
I also work confidently with neurodivergent clients, including those with ADHD and autism, adapting pace and approach to suit each individual and respecting different ways of processing and relating.
You do not need to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. Many people begin simply with a sense that something in their life needs attention.
Practice description
I offer a warm, steady and non-judgemental space where you can speak openly and at your own pace.
My approach is integrative and collaborative, meaning we work together to explore what you are experiencing and what may be influencing it. I am particularly mindful of how trauma and overwhelming experiences can affect the nervous system, relationships and sense of self.
Rather than offering quick answers or advice, therapy becomes a space to reflect, understand patterns more clearly and develop a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
My aim is to support you in developing greater self-understanding, emotional steadiness and a clearer sense of direction in your life.
My first session
I offer a free 15-minute introductory Zoom call so we can briefly connect and see whether working together feels like the right fit.
In our first full session we will take time to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you would like to focus on. This helps us build a clear understanding of your current concerns and any relevant background, so that our work feels purposeful and grounded from the beginning.
There is no pressure to share more than you feel ready to. My intention is to ensure you feel heard, respected and comfortable from the outset.
