About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced and skilled therapist with a background in clinical psychology, dedicated to support you towards improving your mental health.
I meet you where you are, in a nourishing environment conducive to peace and safety.
How can I help
- by listening without judgement, valuing the unique human being that you are
- to investigate with curiosity and understand emotions and behaviour patterns
- to reflect on earlier interactions and how they affect your present relationships
- to work with trauma and disconnected parts of self
- to help you navigate the complex process of grief, loss and abandonment
- to explore who you are and improve your self confidence and motivation toward life in general.
- to offer creative ways to express difficult feelings and experiences as a way of processing and integrate them.
My counselling approach is person-centred, emphasising deep listening and empathy as core conditions for healing. In addition I also incorporate cognitive and psychodynamic psychological models to effectively meet the individual needs of my clients. As a long-term mindfulness practitioner, I invite a gentle somatic awareness to therapy sessions to connect and integrate the body and mind.
Practice description
I have extensive experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds in various settings. This includes Scotland and London.
I offered long term therapy sessions in a generic counselling service and I worked short term therapy providing support to more specific clients areas, such as survivors of sexual abuse at Rape Crisis and people affected by loss and grief at Cruse Bereavement. At Mind I offered short term therapy to NHS patients.
I’ ve been providing effective therapy sessions assisting clients experiencing symptoms, among others, of depression, anxiety, trauma, sexual abuse, bereavement, motivation and self-esteem. Within the Hospital setting, I delivered short term therapy to patients diagnosed with chronic disease. Additionally, I support clients in coping with life changes, acknowledging the healing power of resilience and strength in the face of adversity.
Whether you have a specific goal or willing to explore an area of your life, I can assist you with it, I do offer a safe space for reflection, where you can cultivate skills and develop coping strategies to improve your life - I am committed to treating everyone with respect and sensitivity.
Taking the first step towards a more fulfilling and happier life requires courage. I am here to walk alongside you in this unique trans-formative journey. Kindly feel free to contact me with questions.

Testimonials
"Suzia, I would like to say thank you, I feel like I am now in a place, that I’d never thought possible. I realise I am a survivor and not a victim. I feel as though a weight that I have been carrying for more than 19 years has been lifted off of me". S.T.
"Suzia helped me to understand a lot about myself, mainly in things I didn’t know I need help with, I’m so grateful that I was given this opportunity with her."A.B.
