About me and my therapy practice

Counselling and Coaching for ADHD, Autism and AuDHD

It can be challenging navigating a world that wasn’t built around the way your brain works. You might feel as though you are constantly masking who you really are just to fit in, and over time, it can become difficult to know who the real you is.

School or work may feel overwhelming or exhausting, not working in the way your brain needs it to. You might experience anxiety, low mood, shutdown, or find yourself zoning out. At times, you may feel angry, drained, or unsure why things feel so difficult.

You may also experience sensory sensitivities that make certain environments uncomfortable or even physically painful, leading to fatigue or burnout.

Whether you are diagnosed, exploring a diagnosis, or simply recognising that things feel harder than they should, it can help to talk to someone who understands.

You might be trying to make sense of yourself and your experiences, or struggling with things that often accompany neurodivergence, such as relationships, trauma, bullying, discrimination, or not knowing what support you need or how to ask for it.

You are not alone.

I offer neuroaffirming counselling and coaching in a person-centred way. This means I see you as the expert in your own experience, while supporting you to understand how you work and begin to find ways of navigating life that feel more manageable.

Practice description

I work on a one-to-one basis with adults and young people from age 11.

I offer a trauma-informed, neuroaffirming approach that integrates counselling and coaching, depending on what you need from the sessions.

Counselling supports us in exploring and making sense of your experiences, including how the past may be affecting you now. Coaching allows us to look more practically at your day-to-day life, developing strategies and approaches that work with your brain rather than against it.

This means that alongside understanding yourself more deeply, we also focus on finding ways to reduce overwhelm and approach life in a way that feels more manageable.

Your neurodivergence will show up in ways that are unique to you, so I tailor how we work together rather than offering a one-size-fits-all approach. The balance of counselling and coaching will shift depending on what you need.

In early sessions, we will get to know you and how your neurodivergence shows up for you, and explore what will help you get the most from our work. We will review this together as we go, to make sure the sessions are working in the way you need them to.

I am happy to adapt the space for sensory needs, and you are welcome to bring anything that helps you feel more comfortable.

Sessions take place in a quiet countryside setting near Olney, with parking available, and are accessible from Northampton, Milton Keynes and Bedford.

My first session

I offer a free 30-minute initial session online, by telephone or face-to-face. This gives you the opportunity to talk about what is bringing you to counselling and to see whether working together feels right for you.

There is no obligation to continue after this session.

If you decide to go ahead, we will explore what you would like to gain from the sessions and agree how we will work together in a way that suits you.

About me and my therapy practice

Qualified Counsellors

I work collaboratively with you to create a safe and dynamic supervisory space — one that encourages sharing, reflection, and learning. Our work together will offer opportunities to both challenge and be challenged, supporting you to develop new psychological perspectives within your client work.

Your ethical framework will be central to the supervision process, alongside your personal and professional development. I bring a warm, reflective approach to exploring the many processes at play in your work, helping you view your practice from different angles.

I also offer additional support for therapists working towards accreditation.

Areas of expertise include:

• Working with children and young people (11+)

• ADHD, autism, and AuDHD

• Trauma

Trainee Counsellors

Beginning client work can be both exciting and daunting. Supervision plays a vital role in supporting you as you shape your practice and integrate your learning into your work with clients.

I will support you to become a reflective, ethical practitioner, offering a space to explore challenges, build confidence, and develop your professional identity. Course reports and paperwork are included within the cost of fortnightly supervision, and these can be worked through together.

My core modality is person-centred, and I sometimes integrate elements from other approaches in my work.

Fees

Clinical supervision is offered at:

• £60 per hour, or

• £90 for a 90-minute session

Concessions are available for trainee counsellors.
