I am a registered counsellor working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds. I provide an inclusive, affirming and non-judgemental therapeutic space where people can explore a variety of concerns, including those related to neurodivergence. I welcome clients of all ages, identities and life experiences. I am committed to tailoring therapy to suit each individual needs and circumstances.
About me and my therapy practice
Whether you are experiencing emotional pain, navigating life's challenges or seeking personal growth, I offer a supportive environment in which to explore your experiences and work towards greater self awareness and self compassion. My aim is to create a safe, respectful and collaborative environment where clients feel heard, understood and supported throughout their therapeutic journey, helping them to move towards healing, resilience and greater wellbeing.
Practice description
Individuals
I offer 50-minute individual counselling sessions usually on a weekly basis. Our initial assessment session provides an opportunity for us to meet, discuss what has brought you to counselling and explore what you hope to achieve through therapy. It also gives us both the chance to see whether we feel we are a good fit to work together. During this first session, we will talk about your current concerns, relevant background and what may best support you moving forward. You are welcome to ask any questions about the counselling process, my way of working or anything else that will help you feel informed before deciding whether to continue.
Couples
Many couples seek therapy following a breakdown in communication, ongoing misunderstandings or unresolved conflict that has become a source of tension. I offer 60 or 90 minute sessions where couples can identify difficulties within a relationship and the goals they would like to work toward. One of my aims is to provide a safe, empathetic and confidential environment where each individual has equal opportunity to be heard. Together we work towards greater understanding and improved communication.
My Practice
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´) and an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapists Society (NCPS). I adhere to the ethical frameworks and professional standards of both organisations, ensuring that my practice is safe and ethical. To support the quality of my work, I attend regular clinical supervision with a UKCP-registered psychotherapist and am currently working towards UKCP registration. I hold full professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
