About me and my therapy practice
Something has to change—you know that. Perhaps anxiety is keeping you on edge, depression has drained the colour from life, or stress and burnout have left you feeling unlike yourself. You may be struggling in a relationship, facing a difficult change or simply feeling that you have lost your sense of direction.
I work online with adults and couples across the UK. Much of my work centres on anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, relationships, self-esteem, work-life balance and men’s mental health. I also have experience supporting veterans and emergency-service workers.
I’m a Â鶹Դ´-registered integrative counsellor with over seven years’ experience. In our sessions, you will find a calm and non-judgmental space in which you can speak honestly about what is happening. You don’t need to arrive with the right words or a clearly defined goal. We can begin wherever you are.
I’m also a qualified personal trainer. When it feels relevant, my understanding of sleep, movement and everyday routines can help us explore the relationship between your physical and emotional wellbeing. This is always led by what you want from therapy.
Practice description
I work integratively, drawing primarily on person-centred counselling, CBT, psychodynamic and solution-focused approaches. Put simply, this means I adapt therapy to you rather than expecting you to fit one particular model.
Some people benefit from practical strategies to manage what is happening now. Others want to understand deeper patterns, past experiences or relationships that continue to affect them. Often, the work involves a combination of both. We will agree the focus and pace together.
I offer short-term and open-ended counselling online or by telephone. Weekday appointments are available between 7am and 8pm, making it possible to arrange sessions around work and other responsibilities.
My first session
Reaching out can be the hardest part. I offer a free 20-minute telephone consultation so that we can talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you hope might change and whether working together feels right.
There is no pressure to commit and no expectation that you will know exactly what to say. You can ask questions, get a sense of how I work and decide whether you would like to continue. If you do, we will arrange your first full session and take things at a pace that feels comfortable.
