About me and my therapy practice

Hello. My name is Lanre Oduwole

I am a fully qualified integrative counsellor and a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy (MÂ鶹ԭ´´).

As your therapist I will work alongside you in helping to find ways to understand the issues you may be facing. Working together to process and address any challenges.

My approach is to build a safe, trusting and confidential environment that challenges and supports you but also encourages self-awareness, resilience and personal growth.

My therapeutic approach is integrative which means I can draw upon different skills and techniques (Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioural) that may best support you and your personal goals.

Practice description

Therapy offers a space for client and therapist to explore and understand any emotional or psychological difficulties. Through therapy we work in order to find ways to resolve or accept issues that may be affecting daily life, such as relationship issues, feelings or behaviours which change may be required.

At the core of therapy sessions the therapist and client work in a confidential, safe and non-judgemental environment.

Therapy can often be misunderstood as being required only for those experiencing unbearable life problems or significant mental health issues. Although therapy can certainly be beneficial in these situations, therapy can also be useful to address early issues that clients may not yet understand or is struggling to work through any particular issue.

I offer therapy to both individuals and couples.

My first session

During our first session, I will gain more insight into and an understanding of the reasons you are now seeking therapy. We will explore thoughts and feelings into what you would like to work on or change.

Our first session together is an important step in establishing our therapeutic relationship but also the start in clarifying your goals and hopes for therapy, which will serve as a road map for our work together.
