About me and my therapy practice
As a therapist specialising in working with young adults (age14+), I offer a supportive and non-judgemental space to explore the challenges and opportunities that come with this transformative stage of life. Whether you’re navigating career choices, relationship dynamics, identity questions or the pressures of independence, I’m here to help you make sense of it all and discover your unique path forward.
My approach is collaborative and compassionate, combining evidence based practices with respect for your individual experience and goals. I believe this period of uncertainty can also be a powerful time of growth and I’m committed to walking alongside you as you build confidence, clarity and a sense of direction.
Together, we can work on:
- Understanding and managing anxiety, stress or low mood
- Clarifying life goals and career direction
- Building healthy relationships and communication skills
- Exploring identity, purpose and self-worth
- Navigating transitions in school, work or home life
Whether you feel lost, stuck or simply in need of space to reflect, I’m here to help you connect more deeply with who you are and where you want to go.
Practice description
Young adulthood is a time of profound change, full of challenges and possibilities. Therapy can give you a grounding space to explore who you are and who you are becoming.
In my work with young adults, I draw from a blend of CBT Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person-centred Therapy and Psychodynamic approaches, integrating a holistic connection between mind, body, emotions, relationships and environment.
CBT can offer practical tools for managing anxiety, stress, low mood and self-doubt by helping you to recognise unhelpful patterns and develop better ways of thinking and coping.
Person-Centred therapy ensures you are always met with empathy, respect and unconditional positive regard as you are the expert on your own life.
Psychodynamic therapy allows us to explore how your past experiences and unconscious beliefs may be shaping your present patterns, relationships and inner world.
Also with a holistic lens, I consider all aspects of your life - your lifestyle, values, physical health, spirituality and social context - contribute to your well-being and sense of purpose.

The Next Step
It is important to me for us to create a counselling relationship where you can feel safe and comfortable to talk. I offer a free 30 minute telephone session for you to ask questions, to explore what you would like to get out of counselling and to see and feel what it is like to work with me.
Getting in touch will be the first step towards gaining support and I’m here to help you connect more deeply with who you are and where you want to go.
Practice description
Keeping painful emotions to ourselves can be destructive and cause anxiety and depression. Together we can look at ways to take a positive step towards change.
- Challenge self-limiting beliefs and build self-esteem
- Understand what is causing you challenges in life
- Identify and change destructive patterns in relationships
- Recognise what triggers you into unhelpful behaviours
- Learn how to quieten your critical voice
- Overcome mental health difficulties and begin to approach life in a more open and available way
My first session
This session will involve me getting to know you. We will work together collaboratively to explore your experiences and any issues you have been struggling with. With young adults I like to work creatively and help them understand what their emotions are telling them.
I can offer short-term therapy which can be from 6 - 12 sessions where we can focus on your goals and what you would like to achieve. Working longer term we can regularly review your aims of therapy and increase your self-awareness.
