About me and my therapy practice

Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it鈥檚 natural to feel a little uncertain at first. My aim is to make the process as supportive and comfortable as possible. From the moment you reach out, you will be welcomed into a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space where your experiences and feelings are respected.

I am a qualified counsellor and a registered member of the 麻豆原创. My background includes extensive experience working with adults facing challenges such as anxiety, low mood, stress, loss, relationship difficulties, and major life transitions. Alongside counselling, I have developed an integrative approach that also draws on coaching principles, supporting clients not only in overcoming difficulties but also in building confidence, resilience, and a more fulfilling future.

I believe that each person鈥檚 journey is unique, so I don鈥檛 take a 鈥渙ne-size-fits-all鈥 approach. Instead, I work collaboratively with you to find the pace and focus that feels right. Some clients value exploring the past to understand patterns that affect the present; others prefer to concentrate on practical steps forward. Together, we鈥檒l create a balance that meets your needs.

While my main focus is on individual therapy, I also offer counselling for couples who want to improve communication, rebuild trust, or strengthen their relationship.

Clients often tell me they value my warmth, empathy, and ability to create a space where they feel truly heard. You don鈥檛 have to face challenges alone鈥攃ounselling can give you the support and perspective needed to make positive, lasting changes.

Practice description

Life can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving us anxious, stuck, or unsure which way to turn. As a qualified counsellor, I provide a safe, confidential, and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. I believe that lasting change comes not just from coping with difficulties, but from uncovering your own strengths and building confidence to move forward.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you as an individual. I draw on a range of therapeutic methods and, where helpful, integrate coaching principles. This means we can work not only on easing distress, but also on creating positive, meaningful changes in your life.

How I work

I offer counselling for issues such as anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, stress, loss, and life transitions. Sessions are guided by your needs and goals鈥攕ometimes that means gently exploring the past, and sometimes focusing on the present and future. Together, we will find the balance that feels right for you.

Alongside individual therapy, I also work with couples who wish to improve communication, navigate conflict, or strengthen their relationship.

I work with adults of all ages and backgrounds, and I鈥檓 committed to providing a respectful, non-judgemental environment. Whether you are facing a specific difficulty, or simply feel something 鈥渋sn鈥檛 right鈥 and want to understand yourself better, you don鈥檛 have to go through it alone.

About me and my therapy practice

My supervision practice is grounded in the person-centred approach, reflecting my own training and experience as a counsellor. I believe that when supervisees feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood, they are better able to reflect openly on their client work and professional development. Creating that environment of empathy, authenticity, and acceptance is at the heart of how I work as a supervisor.

I see supervision as a collaborative relationship where we explore your experiences in practice together. Rather than prescribing answers, I aim to offer space for you to discover your own insights and ways forward, trusting in your capacity for growth and learning. At the same time, I bring my own knowledge and perspective to help you consider ethical challenges, client dynamics, and self-care, ensuring that your work remains safe and effective. This balance of support and gentle challenge helps you to build confidence in your practice, while also deepening your self-awareness as a practitioner.

Practice description

As a qualified counsellor and experienced practitioner, I offer supervision that is supportive, collaborative, and designed to help you grow in confidence and competence. I believe that supervision should be a safe space where you can reflect honestly on your work, explore challenges, celebrate successes, and continue to develop both personally and professionally.

My work as a supervisor is grounded in person centred practice which gives supervisees a warm, empathic environment.  Whether you are newly qualified and looking for a grounding, supportive relationship, or an experienced practitioner wanting space to reflect more deeply, supervision with me can provide both reassurance and challenge in equal measure.

I work with counsellors and psychotherapists at different stages of their professional journey, including trainees. I see supervision as a partnership where learning flows both ways, and where your professional identity and wellbeing are just as important as your client work.

Supervisees often tell me they appreciate my warm, approachable style, balanced with the ability to ask thoughtful, sometimes stretching questions that encourage new insight. I aim to foster a non-judgemental relationship that allows you to bring the whole of yourself into the room鈥攜our doubts as well as your strengths鈥攕o that you feel supported and confident in your practice.

I offer supervision face-to-face and online, giving flexibility to meet your circumstances. If you would like to explore whether we are a good fit, I am happy to arrange an initial conversation without obligation.
