About me and my therapy practice
By drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches, I hope to offer you an insight into how you may begin to feel more at ease with yourself and the relationships you have with those around you. With support and guidance, it may be possible to become more fully present rather than feeling stuck in the past.
The simple act of exploring and sharing your personal experience with a therapist is the first step towards growth and recovery.
I am able to offer open ended and brief therapy to adults from 18, with a range of issues. These include, anxiety and depression, stress, bereavement, low self-esteem, domestic abuse, infertility and miscarriage, parenting, relationships and neurodiversity affirming counselling.
I am a fully qualified counsellor with a background in Humanistic/ Gestalt Therapy and mindfulness meditation. This means that I work in an integrative, present centred and creative way.
My recent training and certification in Embodied psychotherapy and interest in Internal Family System means that, with support, you can get to know the inner parts or facets of yourself much better. This will help you have more agency over your inner critical voice and improve self-esteem.
I am fully trained to work remotely via Zoom and telephone as well as face to face.
In your counselling sessions, I maintain a non-judgemental and collaborative approach in a safe, confidential and supportive space. Here you can focus on your own needs and look at the way forward.
My extensive training is underpinned by working both in the charity and private sector with young people and adults from 15+ who often come to counselling to explore past and present traumas and difficulties. This can be face to face and remotely either within the comfort of my consulting rooms or via Zoom.
I am more than happy to discuss any of your therapeutic needs and look forward to hearing from you.
The first step is always difficult, yet it may lead to positive change and worthwhile personal rewards
Practice description
I am an experienced Â鶹Դ´ registered Gestalt and Humanistic counsellor as well as an Embodied Therapist , working with clients from 18+, both in the private and charity sector, in the UK and abroad from diverse backgrounds.
At the heart of my practice is the belief that our bodies and emotions are deeply interconnected – and in a world that’s often fast-paced and unforgiving, we can lose touch with how we truly feel and who we are. This can impact the physical and emotional centres of our body and minds which may be hardwired to hold on to past and present trauma. This disconnection can often lead to chronic pain, anxiety, depression, confusion, low self-esteem and unhealthy coping strategies which in turn can affect the relationship we have with ourselves and those we share our life with.
Using a range of therapeutic approaches, including , Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems parts work, mindfulness meditation, and humanistic principles, I support clients in becoming more present and at ease with themselves.
I will work relationally and compassionately to help you explore the underlying patterns that may be limiting your choices and opportunities in the hope that you may reach your full potential.
In your counselling sessions, I maintain a non-judgemental and collaborative approach in a safe, confidential and supportive space. Here you can focus on your own needs and look at the way forward. This may include relationship, difficulties and breakups, infertility and miscarriage, peri and post -menopausal difficulties, anger management, burnout, low self -esteem and anxiety and depression.
This can be face to face and remotely either within the comfort of my consulting rooms or via Zoom, What"s App video and Face Time.
I am more than happy to discuss any of your therapeutic needs and look forward to hearing from you.
