About me and my therapy practice
Stop letting relationship anxiety and 'not good enough' thoughts define your LGBTQ+ experience! If you are tired of feeling guilty for wanting something different or more, let's work together to find a way forward for you.
I intend that you discover your authentic self through our work together. We will aim to cultivate assertiveness and confidence, helping you to heal from past pain and find freedom from fear. I will encourage you to embrace deep self-acceptance and contentment, breaking free from the suffocation of old behaviours. This transformative process empowers you to define who and how you want to be, enabling choices that honour you and lead to happier, more respectful relationships.
With over 25 years of experience as a nurse and extensive therapy training, I bring a deeply compassionate approach to my practice. My background includes volunteering with Mindout LGBTQ+ mental charity in Brighton, which has strengthened my ability to meet every client exactly where they are. I specialise in Compassionate Inquiry (CI) - a trauma-informed approach developed by Dr Gabor Mate that reveals what lies beneath the appearance we present to the world. This week is deeply personal for me; my own journey through childhood trauma, chronic illness, and the complexities of 'coming out' in the 1980's continues to fuel my dedication to helping others heal and thrive.
I adhere to the Â鶹Դ´ ethical framework, and I am fully insured.

I respect my clients as the best experts on themselves. My focus is always on individual experience, and together we explore thoughts, feelings and behaviours behind everyday challenges.
My first session
WHAT IS YOUR COUNSELLING PROCESS?
I offer a free half an hour no obligation telephone or zoom consultation where you can tell me about your situation and what you are looking for, ask me questions and get a feel for how I work.
1, If you decide that we’re a good fit, you book in the first session
2. During the first session we discuss: what we are trying to achieve (so that our sessions are purposeful) and we agree what our responsibilities are as both counsellor and client
3. We regularly assess progress together to make sure we remain on track
4. You might decide to extend counselling if additional issues arise, or you might even get to where you want to be faster than expected.
