Practice description

I offer a warm, collaborative space for individuals and couples who feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or caught in painful repeating patterns. You may be dealing with conflict that escalates quickly, long periods of silence or distance, betrayal, trauma, anxiety, loss, or the sense that you no longer know how to reach one another.

My work is grounded in attachment: the human need to feel safe, valued, understood, and connected with the people who matter most. Together, we slow down the moments that feel confusing or overwhelming and make sense of the feelings, fears, and protective responses underneath them. Rather than viewing either person as the problem, we look at the pattern that has taken hold and work toward new ways of responding.

I specialise in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based, attachment-based approach to relationship distress. Sessions are practical, compassionate, and paced around your needs. The aim is not simply to manage conflict, but to help create a more secure, open, and responsive relationship with yourself and others.

I welcome clients who want support with relationship difficulties, attachment wounds, major life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences.

My first session

In the first therapy session we begin focusing more fully on what has brought you to therapy. We will explore the experiences, relationship patterns, or concerns that feel most important and begin to clarify what you hope might change through our work together.

There is no pressure to tell your whole story immediately. We will move at a pace that feels manageable for you, and you are always welcome to pause, ask questions, or let me know if something feels too much. My aim is to create a calm, collaborative space where you can feel safe enough to explore what is happening.

For couples, the first session is usually attended together. We will begin by understanding the relationship, the concerns that have brought you to therapy, and each partner’s hopes for the work. Individual meetings may be incorporated later where this would be helpful.

For couples, the next two sessions will be individual sessions where I get a better sense of you both, in order to best help you get your relationship unstuck.
