Availability

I offer weekly, ongoing therapy for individuals seeking depth-oriented, trauma-informed work. Sessions are available online across the UK and in person from my private practice in Edgbaston.

My caseload is intentionally limited to allow for consistent, thoughtful work with each client. Therapy is typically open-ended and suited to those wanting to understand and shift longstanding patterns of anxiety, trauma or relational difficulty, rather than focus solely on short-term symptom management.

Current availability can be discussed when you get in touch.

What Clients Have Shared

Clients often describe our work as steady, reflective and deeply attuned.

鈥淭ara helped me understand patterns I鈥檇 carried for years but never fully recognised. I felt both supported and gently challenged in a way that helped me grow.鈥

鈥淚 came to therapy feeling constantly anxious and on edge. Working in a trauma-informed way helped me understand what was happening in my body, not just my thoughts.鈥

鈥淭he space felt calm and safe, but what stood out most was how carefully and thoughtfully Tara listened. I never felt rushed.鈥

About me and my therapy practice

About Me and My Therapy Practice

I am a 麻豆原创 Accredited psychotherapist with over 14 years鈥 experience working with adults experiencing anxiety, trauma and attachment-related difficulties. Much of my work focuses on persistent anxiety that feels longstanding, complex or resistant to short-term approaches.

My clinical and postgraduate study centre on understanding anxiety not only as a cognitive experience, but as a nervous system and relational phenomenon. Clients often come to me feeling chronically 鈥渙n edge,鈥 hypervigilant, emotionally overwhelmed or stuck in repeating relational patterns without fully understanding why these experiences persist.

In addition to my clinical practice, I am completing a Master鈥檚 degree in Trauma-Informed Practice. This postgraduate study deepens my understanding of how early relational experiences shape emotional regulation, self-worth and patterns of physiological activation.

Alongside this, I am in the final stages of a specialist three-year qualification in Somatic Therapy, which I will complete in September 2026. This advanced training focuses on working directly with the embodied impact of trauma and chronic stress, supporting clients to develop greater regulation, stability and resilience through increased awareness of nervous system responses.

My approach integrates psychodynamic understanding, attachment theory and body-based awareness. Therapy is not limited to exploring thoughts and emotions; it also involves recognising how patterns are held in the body and enacted in relationships. Over time, this depth-oriented work supports greater clarity, regulation and self-trust.

I work best with individuals seeking thoughtful, longer-term therapy aimed at meaningful and sustainable change.

Practice description

Practice Description

My practice specialises in working with anxiety, trauma and attachment-related patterns, particularly where difficulties feel longstanding, cyclical or difficult to shift through short-term approaches.

Many of the individuals I work with describe chronic hypervigilance, emotional overwhelm, persistent self-doubt, or relational patterns that repeat despite insight and effort. Rather than focusing solely on symptom reduction, our work aims to understand the underlying processes that maintain distress.

Anxiety and trauma are not only psychological experiences; they are patterns shaped by early relationships and held within the nervous system. Therapy becomes a space where we slow down enough to observe how these patterns operate 鈥 in your body, your emotional responses and your relationships.

This may involve exploring attachment dynamics, relational expectations, internalised beliefs and patterns of physiological activation. Alongside insight, we develop greater awareness of nervous system regulation, helping to reduce chronic states of activation or shutdown that often sit beneath anxiety and stress.

My approach is steady, reflective and purposeful. Sessions are not rushed, and we work at a pace that feels manageable while remaining focused on meaningful change. Over time, this depth-oriented process supports increased regulation, resilience and a more secure sense of self.

My first session

My First Session

Beginning therapy is a significant step. The first session is an opportunity for us to understand what has brought you to seek support and what you are hoping may change.

We will explore your current difficulties, relevant background and any patterns you have begun to notice in yourself or your relationships. This may include discussing experiences of anxiety, stress or relational challenges, and considering how these are maintained psychologically and within the nervous system.

The initial meeting also allows us to consider whether my approach feels like the right fit for you. Therapy works best when there is a sense of safety, clarity and mutual understanding of the work we are undertaking.

There is no expectation to share everything at once. We will work at a pace that feels manageable, while remaining focused and intentional. The aim of the first session is to establish a thoughtful starting point for deeper, ongoing work.
