Availability
I currently have both daytime and evening availability, particularly on Mondays and Tuesdays. Please email or text me to arrange a chat and work out a convenient time for counselling!
Most of my work takes place online via a Teams video link. However, I can also offer face-to-face sessions near East Putney Tube station for 拢70 if in-person support is preferred.
About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I have over 9 years of experience working with young people in primary, secondary, and college settings. Many of the young people I support experience anxiety or a sense of 鈥渘ot fitting in.鈥 My aim is to offer a calm, supportive space where they can feel understood and listened to. Although my sessions are one-to-one, I value the insights of parents and carers and welcome your input as part of the wider support system.
I offer a six-session online package for 拢180, which includes psychoeducational worksheets that clients can revisit when they need.
I hold a Master of Science (MSc) in Counselling Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of Nottingham, and I am an accredited member of the 麻豆原创. I mainly draw on Cognitive Behavioural, Acceptance-based, and Person-Centred approaches, while also integrating other methods when they may benefit the client.
I have a strong understanding of safeguarding and signposting for under-18s and can create safety plans with clients if wanted. Although I cannot share what is discussed in sessions, I can keep parents and guardians informed about the structure of the work, the support being offered, and鈥攚ith the client鈥檚 consent鈥攈ow to help them maintain their wellbeing outside of sessions. I鈥檓 also able to email psychoeducational worksheets to clients and parents if this would be helpful.
Practice description
I usually work via Teams video calls, but I鈥檓 also able to offer telephone sessions or Teams audio-only if that鈥檚 preferred. I have experience providing therapy through text and email as well; however, I generally encourage clients to use video or audio where possible, as written communication can take longer and six sessions may not feel quite enough in that format.
My first session
Counselling can be intimidating for children and young people so I try to emphasise that I am not one of their teachers or university tutors! I will try to get a sense of their world and make a plan of how to work with the time we have available. I will email a counselling contract after the first session which will explain clearly what counselling is.
Do get in touch via email or text and we can organise a five minute chat.
