I am currently only offering online sessions. Zoom gives both the counsellor and client the feeling of being in the same room, without having to travel to an office for the counselling to take place. Appointments are conducted otherwise exactly the same; they last approximately 50 minutes and exactly the same work takes place as would face-to-face.
Practice description
I am a Psychodynamic counsellor, which means that as well as getting a full understanding of the issues you are currently experiencing, we can also explore early life experiences and relationships to see how they have formed your view of yourself and others.
Psychodynamic theory presumes that we develop our view of ourselves and the world we live in through early experiences and relationships. During counselling, we can unpick these early influences to better understand your emotional response to current issues and situations.
Through understanding your emotional response to situations, counselling aims to help you better understand yourself, your relationships, make decisions or answer questions that you might have for yourself.
Together, we can then use a number of different methods to implement any changes you might like to make, such as working on your self esteem, coping strategies, managing your stress/anxiety or just generally managing your emotional response to situations.
My first session
Our initial session is a good opportunity to introduce ourselves to each other; I can give you a more detailed overview of how the sessions will work and a bit about myself and my background.
After running through the documents that I send over prior to our sessions, including about confidentiality and limits of the sessions, I can answer any questions you might have. You are then given space and support to give an overview of what has brought you to counselling.
The decision to come to counselling can be an incredibly difficult one to make, often made at a time when life is at its most stressful. I work hard to ensure that the process doesn't feel too overwhelming.

About me and my therapy practice
I currently work as a counsellor and supervisor across various organisations, alongside running my private practice. This has given me a broad range of experience in both direct therapeutic work and in supporting other practitioners.
My work spans multiple sectors and client groups, including:
- Working with young people and families
- Supporting young people affected by County Lines
- Supporting individuals seeking asylum or with refugee status
- Supporting survivors of modern slavery
These roles have deepened my understanding of the complex challenges people face, often at the intersection of trauma, displacement, and exploitation. I bring extensive knowledge of safeguarding practices in these areas, and understand the importance of working within multi-agency frameworks to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
In my supervisory role, I draw on this experience to support practitioners working in varied and often demanding contexts. I aim to offer a reflective and grounded space that balances clinical insight with practical support—helping you navigate the emotional, ethical, and organisational challenges of your work.
Whether you're seeking supervision or counselling, I bring a collaborative, trauma-informed approach that recognises the unique needs of each individual and setting.
*Please note that I currently only offer zoom sessions*
Practice description
As a psychodynamic therapist, my work is rooted in understanding the deeper emotional patterns and unconscious processes that shape how we relate to ourselves and others. I believe that both therapy and supervision is a space where we can begin to notice and explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, allowing new insight and freedom to emerge.
While my primary orientation is psychodynamic, I work integratively, drawing from a range of therapeutic models to meet each person where they are. I value the uniqueness of every client, and I tailor my approach to suit your specific needs, goals, and way of being in the world. My practice is relational, reflective, and grounded in the belief that the therapeutic relationship itself can be a powerful agent of change.
As a supervisor, I offer a supportive, collaborative space to reflect on your clinical work, your development as a practitioner, and the emotional impact of the work. I work with both trainee and qualified therapists, and I aim to create a supervisory relationship that is containing, stimulating, and growth-oriented. My approach to supervision is informed by psychodynamic thinking but also draws on integrative principles—valuing creativity, intuition, and the therapist’s own personal style. Whether you are looking for help with complex clinical material, professional challenges, or simply a place to think out loud, I hope to offer a space where you feel met, supported, and thoughtfully challenged.
My first session
I offer an initial free phone or video consultation lasting around 20 minutes. This gives us a chance to meet informally, get a sense of how we might work together, and for you to ask any questions you may have about the supervision process. It's also an opportunity to clarify your expectations and explore whether my approach aligns with your needs.
If you decide to go ahead, our first full session will involve reviewing and agreeing on our online supervision working agreement. This outlines how we will work together, including confidentiality, frequency, boundaries, and practical arrangements. This agreement helps provide a safe and clear framework for our work.
We will also spend time during the first session exploring your current practice—whether you're in training, newly qualified, or an experienced practitioner. We'll discuss your supervisory needs, any areas you’d like to focus on, and what you hope to gain from supervision. This helps us tailor our work to support your professional development in a meaningful and collaborative way.
