Practice description

Format

Counselling can help you explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours to create changes in your life and improve your overall well-being. This may include examining your beliefs, values and behaviours and developing coping strategies or challenging thought patterns to help you create change. Your sessions will provide a confidential and safe space to explore your feelings without judgment.  We can work in various ways, and if you're unsure, I can recommend a plan for you after an initial session.

Session Length

Sessions are 50 minutes.

I also offer 1-hour 15-minute sessions if you may benefit from longer sessions, particularly at the start of support.

Number of Sessions

We can either agree on a fixed number of sessions to fit your budget or time, or we can take an open-ended approach, providing sessions for as long as you require and tailoring support to what is most helpful to you.

I can offer sessions weekly, fortnightly, or monthly to suit you and your budget.

My first session

Introduction Sessions

I offer an optional 30-minute free introductory meeting to explore what you are looking to work through and to discuss how counselling might be helpful for you.

We can also talk through how you would like to work and agree on session availability. You'll be under no obligation, and it's a chance for you to share what you might be looking for from therapy and to see if you feel comfortable with me and whether I can support you.

If, for any reason, I'm unable to support you, I'll also help signpost you to other suitable services.

Alternatively, we can set up the first 50-minute session if you are ready to start counselling sessions.
