About me and my therapy practice
Do you look like you’re coping, but inside feel overwhelmed, exhausted or like you’re constantly trying to keep up? Do you often wonder why life seems easier for everyone else, find yourself constantly overthinking or second-guessing yourself, or feel different without quite knowing why?
Perhaps you’re struggling with anxiety, burnout, low self-esteem or relationships, or simply a sense that something isn’t quite right. Maybe you’re beginning to wonder whether ADHD or autism could explain some of your experiences. You don’t need a diagnosis to explore this, and you don’t need to know exactly what’s wrong before coming to counselling.
I’m a qualified and experienced person-centred counsellor, and I work with adults experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, low confidence and self-esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement and the impact of difficult or traumatic experiences.
I particularly enjoy working with adults who are autistic or ADHD, whether diagnosed, self-diagnosed, curious, or perhaps they’ve never considered neurodivergence before. I also work with people whose relationships or lives are affected by neurodivergence.
Practice description
I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly without being judged or told what you should do.
As a person-centred counsellor, I won’t try to fit you into a formula or give you a list of exercises and homework. Instead, we’ll take time to understand what’s happening for you and explore things at a pace that feels manageable.
Many of us become so used to adapting ourselves to other people, meeting expectations and simply getting through the day that we lose touch with what we actually need. Counselling can give you space to pause, make sense of your experiences and understand yourself with more compassion.
My aim isn’t to change who you are. It’s to help you understand yourself better, recognise what works for you and develop greater self-trust, so you can make choices that feel right for you.
I offer both short- and longer-term counselling, depending on your needs.
My first session
Finding the right counsellor matters, particularly if you’ve never had counselling before.
I currently offer a free 20 minute initial consultation call over phone or zoom. This is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to counselling, what you hope might change and to get a feel for how I work.
You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and decide whether I’m the right counsellor for you. There’s no pressure to commit to ongoing counselling straight away.
Ongoing sessions are £65 and last 50 minutes.
If you’d like to arrange an introductory call, please get in touch. I’ll aim to respond within 24 hours, although please allow a little longer at weekends and on bank holidays.
