Sessions are 50 minutes long, and I currently have availability throughout the week. They can take place online, over the phone, or — for those nearby — as a walk in the local area.About me and my therapy practice
I believe therapy should be a personal and individual experience. Everyone brings their own life experiences, so no two therapeutic journeys will be the same. It is important to me that clients feel they have a voice and an active role in their therapy.
I work collaboratively with clients to find the approach, pace, and setting that best suits their needs. This flexible, client-centred way of working helps create a space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts and experiences.
I offer both short-term and longer-term therapy. Sessions are 50 minutes and can take place online, over the phone, or as a walk in a suitable outdoor setting.
Practice description
I offer counselling sessions in a range of formats to help make therapy accessible and comfortable. Clients can choose to attend sessions online, by telephone, or outdoors through walk-and-talk sessions. Some people prefer to work in one format, while others combine options depending on their schedule, personal circumstances, or what feels most helpful at the time. Offering flexibility can make it easier for clients to access therapy in a way that fits into their daily lives.
My work is informed by an integrative approach to counselling. This means I draw on a range of therapeutic perspectives rather than working within a single model. I believe that each person’s experiences, needs and goals are unique, so therapy should be flexible and responsive rather than fixed.
I view therapy as a collaborative process between client and therapist. While I bring professional training and experience, clients bring their own knowledge of their lives, feelings and personal history. Working together allows us to explore what the client hopes to gain from counselling.
Some clients come to counselling with a clear idea of what they would like to focus on. Others may feel unsure about where to begin. Both experiences are welcome. Part of the counselling process may involve exploring what has brought someone to therapy and identifying areas they would like to work on. Goals can develop gradually and may change over time as clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves.
Through a collaborative and integrative approach, I support clients in building greater self-awareness, resilience and confidence in responding to life’s challenges.
My first session
I offer counselling and psychotherapy to adults in a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings and experiences at their own pace. My aim is to provide a safe and respectful space where clients feel able to talk openly and begin to make sense of the difficulties they may be facing.
Before starting therapy, I offer an initial call to allow clients to discuss what has brought them to counselling and to ask any questions they may have about the way I work. This initial conversation allows both the client and myself to consider whether we feel comfortable working together. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a key part of effective therapy, and this first contact can help establish the foundation for that relationship.
If we agree to begin working together, we will arrange a regular day and time for sessions. Regular appointments can help provide consistency and structure within the therapeutic process. However, I recognise that people’s circumstances and commitments vary, and where possible, I aim to work flexibly with clients to support their access to therapy.

About me and my therapy practice
I believe in an individual experience in therapy. It is important to me that my clients have a say in their therapy. No two people are the same. Everyone has had different experiences throughout their life, and therapy will be different. I work with my clients to provide the best setting, style, and techniques for them. I have found that this has provided the best results for my clients. I work in both brief and longer-term therapy. This can be online, via a call, or a walk in a suitable area for the client.
Practice description
I like to ensure my clients have the opportunity to chat before we start working together. We start with an initial call, this is to help us work out if I'm the right counsellor/ therapist for you. Once this is agreed, we set up a day and time that suits us to have our sessions. Clients have the option to work online, via a call or take the session outdoors. However, some clients have mixed their sessions to fit their lives.
I work in an integrative style of therapy, which includes mixing different theories that will work for the client. Some clients find that just talking helps them work out what they need, while others prefer a different way. Clients have found that working with their bodies has helped them understand why they are responding to emotions the way they are.
I like to encourage my clients to challenge their thinking within the session, this helps them get the best out of the sessions. This makes our sessions very much a partnership in achieving any goals clients might want to achieve.
My first session
After the initial free call, the first outdoor session begins in a local park where there are other people and easy terrain to walk around. This is a safe place for both of us to get to know each other better and set a walking pace. From this session, we discuss where we would like to base our main sessions. These areas include Epsom Downs, the woods at Tadworth, Boxhill or we can stay at the park.
For those with calls or online sessions, we start easy, this is to ensure the client can get comfortable with the format.
At any point, the place for the session can change. Clients can move between walking, calls or online to ensure it fits with their lives.
We will discuss the contract and the importance of confidentiality which I will stand by.
