About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I’m Renata. I’m a qualified counsellor and psychosexual & relationship therapist, certified in trauma (sexual abuse) and couples work. I support clients facing sexual, relationship, and personal challenges, helping them build emotional resilience, improve relationships, and strengthen a deeper connection with themselves. I work with individuals and couples to explore difficulties, understand relational patterns, and develop healthier, more fulfilling ways of relating.
My approach is collaborative and engaged. I integrate sexology, evidence-based talking therapy, mind-body awareness techniques, and elements of ISTDP, a therapeutic model that supports deeper emotional processing in a safe space.
Areas I can help with include:
* Relationship challenges and emotional disconnection
* Low sexual desire or arousal difficulties
* Orgasm difficulties
* Erectile difficulties and ejaculation issues
* Performance anxiety
* Painful sex, including vaginismus
* Sexual trauma and abuse recovery
* Gender and sexual identity questions
* Alternative sexual preferences
* Compulsive sexual behaviours, known as porn addiction
* Mismatched sexual desire in couples
* Intimacy avoidance or fear of closeness
* Sexual difficulties related to menopause, illness, or medical conditions
* Rebuilding intimacy after infidelity
* Exploring consensual non-monogamy or open relationships
Practice description
I offer safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space for individual clients and couples to explore sexual, relational, and personal challenges. Sessions are tailored to each individual or couple, combining evidence-based talking therapy, mind-body awareness techniques, and elements of ISTDP to support emotional processing, aiming to understand patterns and improve intimacy and connection.
I work collaboratively to identify goals, develop strategies, and foster resilience, helping clients navigate difficulties, enhance relationships, and build a deeper connection with themselves. Whether addressing sexual concerns, relationship challenges, or personal difficulties, the focus is on creating a supportive environment where change and growth are possible.
My first session
The first session is an opportunity to talk about what has brought you to therapy and what you hope to achieve. I’ll ask questions to understand your concerns, explore patterns, and help clarify your goals. You’ll also have the chance to ask any questions about the process and how we might work together. Together, we’ll create a plan that feels right for you, in a space that is safe, supportive, and structured around your needs.
