About me and my therapy practice

I began my career with training as a counsellor, followed by the completion of my Diploma in Transactional Analysis (TA) Counselling and Psychotherapy. Additionally, I am a Trauma-Informed Therapist. I am dedicated to offering compassionate and personalised support to individuals seeking to navigating life's challenges toward personal growth and healing.

My professional journey began in 2013 with a Mental Health charity and IAPT service in Bolton, where I provided support to clients facing a range of challenges. In 2017, I transitioned into higher education and served as a Counsellor until 2023, delivering guidance to young adults and mature students within a University Student Counselling and Wellbeing Service.

I am currently employed at a charity dedicated to supporting male survivors of childhood sexual abuse, sexual violence, and rape. Additionally, I have a small private practice in Central Manchester, where I provide therapeutic services for individuals and couples. My therapy options include short-term solutions as well as long-term explorative work, tailored to meet each client's  unique needs.

I offer sessions in both face-to-face and online.

I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹ԭ´´) and strive to uphold the highest standards of ethical and professional care.

My areas of expertise include, but are not limited to Depression, low self-esteem, and anxiety disorders, Panic disorders and fear of intimacy, Childhood trauma, including sexual, physical, and emotional abuse, Gender identity and relationship or family issues, Workplace conflict, bereavement, and neurodiversity

I believe that Building strong relationships with clients through trust and transparency is key to your healing, long-term growth and success. My experience is that some clients prefer a more formal approach whilst others prefer things to be more casual. Adjusting my approach to suit your preferred style and tailoring our interactions accordingly will help to build rapport.
