I currently have some daytime and evening appointments available, and I am always happy to talk through options that might suit you best.

I also understand that life can sometimes get in the way. Because of this, I always try to be as flexible as possible with session times to help things fit  into your week.

About me and my therapy practice

Are you used to maintaining an 'I'm OK' image while secretly struggling to carry that persona right now? It can feel incredibly isolating to worry about the future, feel unheard, or carry the overwhelming weight of major life changes entirely on your own.

As an Accredited Member of the Â鶹ԭ´´, I specialise in helping you find a clear way through the many layers of loss you might be experiencing. This might mean navigating a painful bereavement, coping with family or working relationship strain, or managing the exhausting feeling of just being entirely lost. Together, we can work through these challenges to get your life back on track and help you rediscover the person you want to be.

My practice is firmly trauma-informed, which means I understand how deeply distressing events or chronic stress can impact your mind, body, and daily sense of safety. I provide a space where you can gently process these experiences without fear of being overwhelmed.

Alongside my full-time private practice, I have extensive experience supporting individuals through highly specialised organisations. This includes working with the Norfolk cancer charity Big C, supporting those in agricultural and rural communities through YANA, and acting as an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) counsellor and Critical Incident Responder.

Combined with my background as a qualified teacher and my time in a large corporate business, these roles give me a genuine, down-to-earth understanding of workplace burnout, acute crises, systemic pressures, and the unique challenges facing adults and families today.

We will work together using a Person-Centred approach. This means you are completely in control of the pace and the focus of our work. There is no clinical jargon or judgment here—just a warm, confidential, and safe space where your voice is fully heard, valued, and accepted.

Practice description

I run an established private practice in the Hellesdon area of Norwich (NR6), which is easily reachable from the surrounding NR1, NR3, and NR8 districts.

  • In-Person Sessions: Hosted in a quiet, accessible venue with free parking right outside the building.
  • Remote Options: Available nationwide via secure Zoom or Teams video calls, as well as telephone counselling.
  • Availability: I offer flexible daytime and evening session slots to help accommodate changing schedules and work commitments.

My first session

Taking the first step toward counselling can feel daunting, which is why I aim to make our introduction as comfortable as possible. I offer a free, no-obligation 15-minute introductory telephone call. This initial chat gives us a chance to talk through what is bringing you to therapy, discuss what you hope to achieve, and ensure you feel completely comfortable working with me before making any commitments.

When we proceed to full 50-minute sessions, we will meet at my accessible practice space at 5 Hurricane Way in Norwich (NR6), which features ample free parking on-site. Alternatively, I offer secure, flexible online sessions via Zoom or Teams, as well as telephone counselling, making it easier to find a time and space that fits neatly into your everyday life.

During our very first full session, we will focus on building a safe foundation. We will look at where you are currently feeling stuck, what coping mechanisms you are using right now, and outline how we can work together at a pace that feels entirely safe and manageable for you.
