About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully-qualified and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist, registered with the Â鶹Դ´ and UKCP.
I offer sessions walking or sitting in natural settings, usually woodlands.
The essence of my (gestalt) approach is awareness through open and honest dialogue between us. This can help you understand more fully what is bringing you to therapy, and what can change. I believe that through deeper contact with 'what is', change becomes possible.
Beyond any therapeutic approach, it is the quality and depth of the therapeutic relationship that is most beneficial. I am compassionate, non-judgemental and direct therapist with whom you can explore what you need to.
I offer support for a wide range of personal, relational and situational problems. My areas of special interest include neurodivergence, shame, belonging, anxiety, depressive experience, and loss.
I am committed to anti-oppressive practice, and pay close attention to the impact of social location, such as race, gender, sexuality, class and disability.
I have worked with a wide range of people in a variety of settings. Alongside my private practice, I work in a local university, and have previously worked in bereavement services and an NHS acute mental health ward.
Practice description
I hold sessions in natural settings, usually woodlands. We walk or sit during these sessions as you wish.
