About me and my therapy practice
I offer a collaborative, compassionate approach to counselling, drawing on both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural models. This means we’ll explore the deeper roots of your emotional experience while also working with practical tools to help you manage day-to-day challenges.
Sessions are shaped around your individual needs and goals. Some clients come seeking clarity during a life transition, others want to process grief, anxiety, or workplace stress. Whether you're navigating moral injury, high-functioning anxiety, or simply feeling stuck, I provide a safe, confidential space to reflect, feel heard, and begin to move forward.
My style is warm, thoughtful, and grounded in ethical practice. I aim to build trust and offer a steady presence—someone who listens deeply, challenges gently, and supports you in making sense of complex emotions. I also incorporate psychoeducational resources and structured assessments where helpful, especially for clients who value insight and direction.
With over 25 years in corporate leadership before retraining as a therapist, I understand the pressures of high-responsibility roles and the toll they can take. I bring empathy, resilience, and a practical mindset to our work together.
Sessions are available online or in-person from Golders Green, Hertford, and remotely across the UK, Ireland, and EU.

About me and my therapy practice
As a dedicated and compassionate counselor, I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking to navigate life's challenges and improve their mental and emotional well-being. My journey into the field of counseling began with a profound interest in understanding human behavior and a deep desire to help others lead more fulfilling lives. With a solid educational background and extensive experience, I have honed my skills in various therapeutic approaches, allowing me to tailor my methods to meet the unique needs of each client.
Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of clients, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and substance abuse. My integrative approach to counseling combines cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic counseling to foster holistic healing and growth.
Central to my practice is the belief that every individual has the capacity for change and resilience. I strive to create a therapeutic alliance built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect, where clients feel heard, validated, and empowered. I understand that seeking therapy can be a daunting step, and I am dedicated to making the process as comfortable and accessible as possible. By providing a non-judgmental space, I encourage clients to explore their thoughts and feelings openly, facilitating self-awareness and personal development.
My mission as a counselor is to guide individuals on their path to healing, helping them build the tools and confidence necessary to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals. Whether you are struggling with a specific issue or seeking personal growth, I am here to support you every step of the way.
My first session
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FIRST SESSION
Introductions
I will introduce myself and explaining how we will work together.
Assessment
I will ask you to ‘tell your story’. It’s important that you feel you’ve had the opportunity to tell me about what’s troubling you.
Contracting
I will explain the terms and conditions that I work to. This may be either a verbal agreement or a printed document for us both to sign.
This first session is important for making sure that you feel comfortable with me as your therapist and my way of working. If its not right for either of us, we can discuss this. Please know that this is completely normal sometimes and is part of the reason we have this initial session.
