About me and my therapy practice
I believe we're designed for change but sometimes need help to get going. I can offer you a professional, safe and caring space where you're treated as a human being.
I offer a non-judgemental way of working, giving you time to talk and understand your thoughts, feelings and behaviours towards others and yourself.
I have a tool box of differing ways to give you insights into 'why' am I feeling this way, help by normalising and reducing the harsh inner critic that seems to beat you up.
I have 9 years experience and I aim to help you make sense of what's happening, enabling you to make changes that improve your mental and physical health. I want you to find your therapy useful and an invaluable way to begin to change yourself this year.
Practice description
I have been practising since 2017 and have been in private practise for 9 years.
First and foremost, I treat you a human being. I help you make positive changes towards feeling less stressed, scared or alone. My focus is to build a safe and trusting relationship. One that enables you to feel calm enough to share both your past and present thoughts, emotions and experiences that have shaped you into who you are today.
I focus on helping you to understand yourself. I will take time to hear what's been going on for you and together try to make sense of your life. Its difficult to do this on your own.
However, you're not alone, just contact me, we can do this together.
My first session
I offer a free 20 minute introductory chat, over the phone, so we can get to know one another. I'll answer any questions you might have and you get a sense of me and how I'll work with you.
I'll do my best to accommodate your needs.
Before our first session, I ask you to fill out a self-referral form. This gives you an opportunity to think about yourself, what's happening to you and what you'd like to get out of your therapy.
At our first session, I aim to make you feel as comfortable and at ease as possible, so that you can begin to talk about yourself, without feeling too overwhelmed.
