About me and my therapy practice
Play and Creative Arts Therapy isn鈥檛 only for children
When words aren鈥檛 enough, our bodies and imaginations can help us process and express what鈥檚 going on inside. In our work together you can talk, use creative materials, or a bit of both, even if you don鈥檛 see yourself as 鈥渁rty.鈥 Play and creative processes are especially helpful for adults living with the effects of complex trauma; they reach the social, emotional, and cognitive areas that can be impacted by long-term, relational stress.
My particular focus is trauma and attachment. Many adult challenges quietly trace back to early experiences, shaping how we feel, decide, and relate. Therapy offers a space to notice those patterns with compassion and begin to shift them.
I鈥檝e spent over 20 years working with children and parents, first as an educator, and now as an accredited Play Therapist and parenting coach. I care deeply about attachment, connection, play, creativity, and stories as foundations for wellbeing.
Whether you鈥檙e a child, teen, or adult, we all need someone steady, - non-judgmental, reflective, and honest. Someone who helps you feel safe enough to talk and safe enough to change. Thinking about therapy can feel big; it鈥檚 normal to feel nervous or unsure. Your sessions will be confidential and paced with care. I may not be your best friend, but I will be a committed ally鈥攈elping you move through difficult moments, make sense of what feels uncomfortable, and find clarity for the days ahead.
I am a registered member of 麻豆原创 (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and PTUK (Play Therapy UK), and I adhere to their ethical codes of practice.
Practice description
I meet clients in Beeston, Nottingham, where it鈥檚 easy to park for free and slip quietly into session without any fuss. For those who prefer to work online鈥攐r need the flexibility鈥擨 also offer video sessions via Google Meet. If you haven鈥檛 used it before, that鈥檚 absolutely fine: I can send simple step-by-step instructions or talk you through it on the phone. Once we鈥檙e set up, we can see and hear each other clearly, creating an experience that feels close to being in the room together.
I work in both English and Indonesian, and I also provide supervision in line with 麻豆原创 and/or PTUK guidelines. For students and trainee counsellors, I offer concession rates to help make regular support more accessible.
