About me and my therapy practice
I am a registered psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with extensive experience in therapeutic practice, professional supervision, and higher education. I work with adult clients and counselling practitioners, offering a reflective, ethically grounded, and supportive space for both therapy and supervision.
My therapeutic approach is integrative and relational, taking a holistic view of each person’s history, relationships, and emotional world. I place strong emphasis on empathic understanding, collaboration, and the development of a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship. I work with a range of concerns, including trauma, relational difficulties, identity issues, and the impact of being misunderstood, overlooked, or harmed.
Alongside client work, I provide clinical supervision for qualified counsellors and trainees. My supervision practice is informed by the Seven-Eyed Model (Hawkins & Shohet) and focuses on both client work and the supervisee’s ongoing professional and personal development. I aim to offer a thoughtful, containing space that supports ethical practice, reflective capacity, and growing confidence.
I also contribute to counselling and psychology training at Diploma and Degree level through teaching, workshops, and curriculum development, with a focus on integrating theory, research, and practice.
Whether you are seeking therapy or supervision, I offer a professional, collaborative, and supportive environment to help you move forward in your work and personal development.
Practice description
I offer counselling and psychotherapy for adults in a confidential, respectful, and professionally grounded setting, both in person and online. My practice provides a calm, supportive space where you can explore emotional difficulties, relationship challenges, trauma, identity questions, and life transitions at your own pace.
My approach is integrative and relational, which means I draw from a range of therapeutic models and tailor the work to your individual needs, history, and goals. I pay close attention to your lived experience, patterns in relationships, and emotional world, while working collaboratively toward greater understanding, resilience, and change. The therapeutic relationship itself is central to my work, and I aim to offer a steady, empathic, and non-judgmental presence.
Clients often come to me when they feel overwhelmed, misunderstood, overlooked, or impacted by past harm or adversity. I have experience supporting people with complex emotional experiences and value creating a space where you do not need to present yourself perfectly or have everything worked out.
I am also an experienced clinical supervisor and educator in counselling and psychology, and I bring a reflective, ethically informed, and trauma-aware perspective to my practice.
We would begin with an initial consultation to clarify what you’re looking for and whether working together feels like a good fit. Therapy can be short-term or open-ended, depending on your needs.
My first session
Your first session is an initial consultation designed to create a safe, respectful, and professionally contained space to begin our work. The focus is on getting to know you, understanding what has brought you to therapy, and exploring what you would like support with, while also helping you get a clear sense of how I work.
During this meeting, we will discuss your expectations of counselling or psychotherapy, your current concerns, relevant background history, and any previous experience of therapy. I may ask some structured assessment questions to build a clear picture of your needs and to ensure that the support I offer is appropriate for you. You’re welcome to share at your own pace — there is no pressure to disclose more than feels comfortable.
We will also review practical and ethical aspects of the work so you know what to expect. This includes session length and frequency, confidentiality and its limits, boundaries, record-keeping, and our working agreement. I will explain my integrative, relational approach and how it may be tailored to you.
The consultation is also an opportunity for both of us to consider whether we are a good fit. Feeling safe and able to work collaboratively with your therapist is important, and you are encouraged to ask questions.
The initial consultation is charged at the standard session rate. If we decide to proceed, ongoing sessions move into deeper therapeutic exploration and agreed goals, either short-term or open-ended, depending on your needs. My aim is to offer a steady, collaborative space where meaningful psychological work can begin.

Availability
I currently have limited availability for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training. I deliver CPD workshops and short courses for counsellors, psychotherapists, supervisors, and related professionals, informed by my work in counselling and psychotherapy practice, clinical supervision, and higher education teaching.
My CPD training is grounded in current best practice and integrates theory, research, and applied clinical skills. Sessions are structured, interactive, and reflective, with a strong focus on ethical practice, relational understanding, trauma-aware work, and real-world clinical application. I aim to create a learning environment that supports critical thinking, professional self-awareness, and confident practice.
Workshops typically include a blend of teaching input, guided reflection, case discussion, and skills-based exercises. Topics may include therapeutic relationships, working with trauma and adversity, relational dynamics, supervision-informed practice, and practitioner resilience. Training can be adapted for mixed-experience groups, trainees, or qualified practitioners.
Most CPD workshops are delivered at weekends, usually between 10:00am and 5:00pm, and may be offered in person or online depending on the format and commissioning organisation. Group sizes are kept appropriate to support participation and discussion.
I also provide bespoke CPD training for organisations and teams. This includes an initial planning consultation to clarify learning needs, participant level, and intended outcomes. This consultation is included within the training arrangement rather than charged separately.
If you would like information about upcoming CPD dates or wish to discuss tailored training for your service, please get in touch. Early booking is recommended as availability is limited.
About me and my therapy practice
My CPD training and teaching approach is grounded in my professional background as a counsellor and psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and lecturer in further and higher education. I design and deliver training that is clinically informed, ethically grounded, and directly relevant to therapeutic and supervisory practice.
I work from an integrative and relational framework, bringing together theory, research, and lived clinical experience. My training style combines clear structure with reflective depth. Alongside taught input, I use guided discussion, case examples, experiential exercises, and small-group reflection to support applied learning and professional self-awareness. Participants are encouraged to think critically, link concepts to practice, and develop confidence in their own professional judgement.
My workshops aim to balance academic rigour with practical usefulness. I place strong emphasis on ethical awareness, relational process, trauma-informed perspectives, and the use of self in practice. Sessions are designed to be engaging, participative, and respectful of different levels of experience and modalities.
Drawing on my experience in FE and HE teaching, curriculum development, and professional training, I adapt delivery to suit diverse learning needs and organisational contexts. I offer both open CPD workshops and bespoke training for teams and services, with content tailored through advance consultation around learning objectives and client groups.
Overall, my aim is to provide CPD and professional training that is reflective, practice-focused, and developmentally supportive, offering a safe and well-contained learning environment where practitioners can deepen knowledge, skills, and professional insight.
Practice description
I provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training and teaching for counsellors, psychotherapists, supervisors, and related professionals, drawing on my qualifications and experience in counselling and psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and lecturing within further and higher education. My training is professionally grounded, ethically informed, and closely linked to real clinical practice.
My CPD workshops are designed to be structured, interactive, and reflective. I integrate theory, current research, and applied therapeutic knowledge, with a strong focus on relational practice, trauma-informed understanding, and practitioner self-awareness. I aim to create a learning environment that is respectful, containing, and intellectually engaging, where practitioners at different stages of development feel able to think openly, ask questions, and explore complexity. My teaching approach supports critical thinking, integration of theory and practice, and the development of ethical and reflective practitioners.
Alongside open CPD workshops, I offer bespoke training for organisations and teams. Content is tailored through prior consultation to match the setting, client group, and learning objectives. Training may be delivered in person or online, typically in small to medium groups to support participation and discussion.
Participants can expect well-organised, practice-relevant training that supports both professional competence and reflective depth.

Practice description
I offer clinical supervision in a confidential, respectful, and professionally grounded setting, both in person and online. I work with qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, and trainees, providing a reflective and containing space to support ethical practice, clinical thinking, and ongoing professional development.
My supervision approach is integrative and relational, informed by the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision (Hawkins & Shohet). I attend to multiple dimensions of the work, including the client–practitioner relationship, the supervisee’s internal process, relational dynamics, risk, ethics, and the wider organisational context. Alongside case discussion, I encourage reflective practice, use of self, and the development of clinical confidence and judgement.
I aim to offer a calm, thoughtful, and collaborative supervisory relationship where you can explore complex clinical material, uncertainty, and challenge without fear of judgement. My background in psychotherapy, supervision, and higher education informs a structured yet flexible approach that supports both skill development and deeper professional awareness.
We begin with an initial supervision consultation to clarify your practice context, client group, modality, supervision requirements, and learning goals. This first meeting also allows us to consider whether we are a good fit for working together and to agree a clear supervision contract covering frequency, record-keeping, confidentiality, and safeguarding responsibilities.
The initial supervision consultation is charged at the standard supervision rate. Ongoing supervision can be arranged on a regular or flexible basis depending on your caseload and professional needs.
My first session
Your first supervision session is an initial consultation designed to provide a safe, respectful, and professionally contained space to begin our supervisory work. The focus is on getting to know you as a practitioner, understanding your current practice context, and clarifying what you are looking for from supervision, while also giving you a clear sense of how I work as a supervisor.
In this meeting, we will discuss your modality, client group, level of experience, organisational setting (if applicable), and any supervision requirements linked to training or accreditation. We will explore your learning goals, areas of confidence and challenge, and how you currently approach clinical and ethical decision-making. I may ask some structured questions to ensure supervision is appropriately matched to your needs and responsibilities.
We will also review key practical and ethical aspects of supervision, including frequency and format of sessions, record-keeping, confidentiality and its limits, safeguarding and risk management, and our supervision agreement. I will outline my integrative, relational supervision approach, informed by the Seven-Eyed Model, and how this supports reflective practice, use of self, and professional development.
The consultation is also an opportunity for both of us to consider whether we are a good fit to work together. You are encouraged to ask questions about my approach and expectations.
The initial supervision consultation is charged at the standard supervision rate. If we proceed, ongoing supervision is arranged to support ethical, effective, and reflective practice.
