About me and my therapy practice
Thank you for your interest in my therapy practice.
I offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life and feel listened to without judgement. My work is rooted in a humanistic, person-centred approach, which means I believe each person has their own inner resources and capacity for growth. Therapy is a place to slow things down, reflect, and make sense of your experiences in a way that feels right for you.
I work with clients facing a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, bereavement, loss, infidelity, trauma and post-traumatic stress. I also support people who have experienced relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, loss of identity and men’s and women’s issues. I am further experienced in working with health-related concerns such as mood disorders or disability, as well as stress and work-related pressures.
While my core way of working is humanistic and person-centred, I draw gently from other approaches where this feels helpful to you. These include cognitive, solution-focused, brief therapy, and transactional analysis. This means that therapy is shaped around you as a unique individual, rather than following a fixed method.
Practice description
I offer both in-person and online therapy, allowing flexibility while keeping the work grounded and relational. Whether we meet face-to-face or online my intention is to offer a safe, calm and confidential space where you can be yourself and speak freely without judgement.
Our first sessions are a chance to explore what has brought you to therapy and what you hope for from the process. There is no pressure to share everything at once! We will move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, and you are always in control of what we talk about.
Our therapy sessions may involve gently exploring feelings, relationships, and past experiences as well as noticing patterns that may be affecting your life now. We may also focus on coping with immediate challenges such as stress, emotional overwhelm, or work-related difficulties. However you choose to work, our therapy sessions will help support you to heal, energise and become aware of your inner strengths.
My practice is guided by ethical, respectful and inclusive values. I aim to offer a steady and compassionate presence as you work towards greater understanding, self-acceptance and a sense of balance in your life. Ultimately, my goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
I look forward to accompanying you on your unique journey to embrace a new dawn in your life.
