About me and my therapy practice

There are times in our life when we need a little help. Maybe a confidential and non-judgemental space to sit for a little while. To talk to someone and tell our story. To be heard. To be witnessed perhaps? Where you can say things you might not say to your friends and family. Maybe things you have never said to anyone at all. Maybe it feels hard to be in the world right now. We all have these times. Family struggles and attachment, trauma, issues with sexuality and sensitivity.  Race, culture, grief. Do you feel different, too much or not enough? Human beings are a labyrinth of emotions, experiences, personality traits, genetic DNA and neural pathways; pathways which are open to change and rewiring, even if it feels sometimes like we don't have the power to change anything at all.  I work with you to untangle the burden and help create a new perspective. It is my belief that counselling and psychotherapy can offer transformations we cannot make alone. And that walking a difficult path with someone by your side can make an arduous journey a little more bearable.

Practice description

I am a UKCP and Â鶹ԭ´´ registered psychotherapist and counsellor. I work with individuals and couples, which includes the pairing of parent and adult child or two siblings, in WC1 and W3.

My clinical background was founded in Transactional Analysis in which I hold a psychotherapy MSc and counselling Pg Dip. When first embarking on therapy many people can be overwhelmed at the different styles of therapy on offer. I was drawn to Transactional Analysis (TA), the social and behavioural study of human interaction. Why do we do and say, think and feel the way we do? I deepened my understanding of how we process life experiences with a Diploma in Trauma Therapy integrating Trauma focussed CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) and Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). My early training working in multiple GP surgeries across London and as an honorary therapist at MIND introduced an existential framework for which I am grateful and use in my work today; how do we 'be' in this world.

Further trainings include; Psychosexual Therapy (CORST accredited), HSP's (Highly Sensitive Person) with Elaine Aron, Attachment Theory studied at The Bowlby Centre, Clinical Practice from a Jungian Perspective and Group Analysis at the Institute for Group Analysis.

My personal journey into psychotherapy first began in Film. Using movies to escape I started to explore the psychology underneath cinematic narratives. I am passionate about the psychology of humans and their capacity for resilience building. My degree in Film and Masters in Creative Writing gives me the fluidity needed to move between the psychotherapy world and the artistic world and the gold in between. My decade in the arts and passion for creativity continues to influence my work both professionally and personally.

I integrate all my clinically researched trainings into a therapeutic approach grounded in acceptance, compassion and growth.

Please contact for fees. I am registered with WPA, Cigna Global and Bupa Global.
