Availability

Hi there! I鈥檓 Aga (she/her). I offer face-to-face sessions in South London, as well as online. I currently have availability on Mondays and Tuesdays.

About me and my therapy practice

I am here to help you navigate your life鈥檚 difficult chapters, better your relationships, gain confidence, and find more fulfilment in life.

My approach is warm and down to earth. I strive to create an environment where you can breathe a sigh of relief and feel heard. Together, we can make sense of your experiences to help you move forward, and find meaningful and lasting change in your life.

I want to learn the story of your life and how you tell it, rather than what you think might be 鈥渨rong鈥 with you. I will meet you wherever you are at with compassion, empathy, and respect. I will hold hope for you, even if you鈥檝e grown tired of holding on to it by yourself.

I work integratively. This means I鈥檓 not devoted to one specific therapeutic approach, but instead draw on a range of techniques to best suit your needs and how you experience your external and internal worlds. This also helps me practice in a person-centred, trauma-informed, and systems-minded way. Your life exists within a unique context; I actively explore how different aspects of each person鈥檚 identity influences their experiences within their relationships and society.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia and have ten years experience in various charities and the higher education sector. In that time, I have worked with a wide range of clients addressing areas such as:

  • anxiety
  • depression
  • self-worth
  • work-related stress and burnout
  • career counselling
  • relationships
  • neurodivergence
  • trauma
  • sexual abuse
  • self-injury
  • disordered eating
  • identity exploration
  • substance dependency
  • crisis intervention and suicide prevention

I particularly enjoy working with:

  • young adults
  • students

  • neurodivergent folks
  • early and mid-career professionals
  • people in helping professions
  • third culture individuals

Practice description

I offer a free initial phone call of 15-30 minutes to chat through why you are considering therapy and whether I am the right therapist for your needs. If you would like to proceed, I will provide you with a counselling agreement to look through ahead of our first session.

My first session

During our first session, we will look at what has brought you to therapy, explore what you would like to change and what you would like our therapy sessions to look like. I will answer any questions you have about starting our work together.

Sessions last 50 minutes and each week you will be invited to discuss whatever feels most important to you 鈥 for example current feelings, a recent experience or recurring pattern in relationships.
