About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative therapist dedicated to supporting children, adolescents, and young adults through a diverse spectrum of emotional and behavioural challenges. My therapeutic approach is founded on the belief that while our past experiences undeniably influence us, you possess an intrinsic capacity for growth and an innate desire to overcome historical patterns that may have held you back.

Therapy, for all ages, offers a secure and confidential environment to delve into complex thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. I firmly believe in the importance of your unique voice. My core role is to attentively listen and validate your experiences, irrespective of your age, cultural background, gender, or beliefs. While sharing your inner world can feel unfamiliar and challenging, courageously illuminating difficult times is a transformative act.

Especially for children and adolescents who may struggle to articulate their emotions verbally, art and creative play become invaluable tools. These methods enable self-expression when words fall short, facilitating new insights and pathways forward. Just as in adulthood, significant life changes—such as parental separation, peer pressures, substance misuse, or educational transitions—can profoundly impact a child's emotional well-being. If these difficulties persist, professional guidance can provide crucial support for your child's healthy development.

I am a registered member of the Â鶹ԭ´´.

Practice description

My approach is collaborative and tailored to you. We'll work together to understand your experiences, build resilience, and discover new ways of coping. My aim is to empower you to feel more confident, find your own solutions, and thrive.

Adding to our supportive environment is Mr. Fonzie, my therapy-trained dog. He often serves as a comforting presence, helping clients feel more at ease and less self-conscious, thus facilitating open communication about their concerns.

My first session

Initially I offer a 20 minute complimentary phone call to discuss the primary reasons for therapy and to gauge whether we would be a good fit.

Young people under 18 I will meet with parents first to gather a full history of the young person.

Taking the courageous step to seek therapy can be daunting, especially for those who have never experienced it before. I completely understand that the prospect of stepping into something unfamiliar might feel unsettling. However, I want to reassure you that throughout the process, you will always be at the centre of the work we do together.
