About me and my therapy practice
Hi
Welcome to my profile. I am a psychodynamic psychotherapist, drawn to the emotional stories we carry through everyday rhythms, relationships, thoughts, and our inner worlds. I work with individuals who feel ready to explore longstanding patterns, especially when life feels fragmented, heavy, or uncertain.
I pay close attention to how past and present relationships shape how you feel. I listen to both your words and the emotions behind them. Patterns that once helped you cope may now feel painful or confusing. I offer a calm and thoughtful space where these experiences can be explored and understood at your own pace.
I understand emotional suffering as something that often reflects both early attachments and present-day pressures. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, grief, loss, relational trauma, PTSD, addiction, identity and sexual issues, parent–child ruptures, and questions of belonging and cultural adaptation. These experiences may show up as shame, low mood, emptiness, emotional numbness, irritability, or guilt. Sometimes, unconscious dynamics can pull us into familiar ways of coping. These ways may have helped us survive, but now feel isolating or overwhelming.
I aim to work collaboratively, helping you make sense of your emotional world. Together, we can gradually find new ways of relating to yourself and others. Therapy becomes a process of insight, emotional recalibration, and quiet transformation. The work is held within a robust, ethical, and relational frame.
Practice description
I am a Â鶹Դ´-registered psychotherapist with FDA, BA, and MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy Practice. I work from a psychodynamic and existential perspective, with a developmental lens and influences from Jungian ideas. I offer a steady, reflective space to explore emotional life with care and reflective openness.
I’ve worked in charity services, statutory settings, and private clinics. I work with individuals through trauma, abuse, loss, and relational pain. my interest is in how unconscious patterns, early attachment, and the stories and environments that shape us influence the way we feel, relate, and make sense of our lives.
I pay close attention to how these experiences live both inwardly and in relationship with others.
I don’t offer quick fixes. I offer a gentle, collaborative process that unfolds at your pace. I listen for what’s spoken and what’s held beneath the surface. The ways you protect yourself, care for others, or try to stay emotionally coherent. I see these not as problems to be solved, but as meaningful reflections of your inner life.
I offer a brief phone call (free of charge) so you can get a feel for how I work.
My first session
I offer a brief phone call (free of charge) so you can get a feel for how I work and whether it feels right for you. If you decide to book, our first session is charged at my standard rate of £60. This session includes a gentle assessment, where I ask some questions to help us begin understanding your emotional landscape. We might explore patterns, relationships, and experiences that feel important. It’s also a space to talk about what brings you to therapy and what you’re hoping for.
