About me and my therapy practice
I provide a space for you to explore your feelings and work through your challenges from within a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space.
The challenges you may be facing could stem from the uncertainty of current events, ongoing personal struggles, or a diagnosed mental health condition. Whether these difficulties are recent or have been present for some time, our work together will be guided by your individual pace and needs. My aim is to create a safe, supportive and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationships, and begin to move towards greater clarity, balance, and a more peaceful state of mind.
With experience in working with neurodiverse individuals, I tailor my approach to meet diverse needs and ensure an inclusive, supportive environment. I am also able to offer support to parents of neurodiverse children, helping them navigate the unique challenges they may face with greater understanding and confidence.
Practice description
I work both remotely and face to face. For remote sessions it is important you have a quiet and confidential space where you feel safe to share, without feeling at risk of interruption or being overheard by others. If you have any questions or concerns about remote work, please do not hesitate to ask.
As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (Â鶹Դ´), I work to the professional standards set out in the Â鶹Դ´'s Ethical Framework,
Alongside my counselling and psychotherapy practice, I also provide mentoring support to young adults facing mental health difficulties, challenges with neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD or Autism and those living with learning disabilities, helping them build confidence and resilience as they navigate their journey through life.
My first session
The first session is a chance for us to begin exploring what has brought you to counselling at this time. We’ll talk about the concerns or difficulties you’re currently facing and longer-standing difficulties rooted in your personal history that you’d like to better understand. Together, we’ll explore what you hope to achieve through counselling and provide answers to any questions you may have. This initial meeting also gives us both the opportunity to see how it feels to work together, and to consider whether the therapeutic relationship feels like a good fit for you. This is a space free from pressure or obligation, offering a compassionate and confidential setting to take the first steps toward understanding and growth.
Sessions are weekly and last 50 minutes. I offer both open-ended and short-term work.
