I am a Relate Trained Relationship Counsellor, with 9yrs experience of working with couples/ individuals in short or longer term counselling, on a weekly/fortnightly basis. The approach combines Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (helping clients to understand their emotions and unconscious patterns of behaviour) with Systemic Therapy (how we are interconnected to those around us/part of a system)

I am currently in  training to work with families so am  offering a training rate of £50 per hour for family sessions which will increase to £75 per hour post qualification in Dec 25,

Through my own experience of having couples therapy, I realised how it can provide a holding environment and contained space to talk, and improve communication and relational empathy in your relationship. Addressing the rupture in relationships and repair needed is a vital process in the steps to healing.

Sometimes we are unaware of what drives our own or others behaviour, and are unsure of how to change it. I will offer you a non- judgemental, ethical and empathetic therapeutic relationship where we will explore at your pace, and take into account unconscious behaviour, and socially constructed issues such as roles, beliefs, meanings and context.

Are you struggling with a relationship- partner, friend, sibling etc. I work with issues relating to /affecting relationships and will aim to help you get perspective on the situation and try to find a positive pathway. If you struggle to express your feelings and emotions, I will help you to work on this. Whatever the issue is - communication, conflict, parenting, life stages, estrangement etc we will tackle it together and look at : how your past influences but does not determine your future. Likewise how the systems you are part of -family, work etc also influence you.

The Initial Assessment fee is a fixed rate of £50 for couples or individuals (50 mins)

Family Counselling Initial Assessment fee £60 (1 hour)

The ongoing sessions are £50 (50 mins)  for couples or individuals

Family counselling  (I am in training and under supervision) fee £50 per hour for ingoing sessions-until Dec 25 which will then increase to £75 per hour post qualification

Availability:

 Daytimes- Monday and Tuesday  9 to 5pm

 Evenings- Monday and Tuesday                         6 to 10pm

Some sunday mornings/evenings availability-please enquire
